Nix the Six is a favorite game here at Orchard Hill! Residents love how easy it is to play and how much fun it brings to the table. There’s always plenty of laughter and excitement with every turn. It’s all fun and games until the six shows up! 🎲

Our residents enjoyed a fun seasonal activity making Cheerio bird ornaments to hang from the trees around our property. It’s a simple way to welcome the warmer weather and watch our feathered friends enjoy a little treat!

We were honored to welcome Sudbury Police Officer Jess Latini, who stopped by Orchard Hill with Sudbury K-9 Police Officer Rico! Residents enjoyed the opportunity to spend some time with the very impressive (and very handsome!) Officer Rico. 🐶

We had a fascinating visit from Food Scientist and “Flavorist,” Lucas! This past fall, Lucas picked some end-of-season apples right from our Orchard Hill orchard, juiced them, and carefully fermented the cider for eight weeks. This week, he returned to share the finished product with us! Residents enjoyed sampling our very own Orchard Hill cider alongside two other brands Lucas brought for comparison. It was an awesome experience learning about the science and art behind cider-making.

We recently had a sweet and spirited afternoon at Orchard Hill Assisted Living! Our residents sampled delicious Cupcake wines alongside cupcakes baked with those same flavors. Talk about a perfectly sweet pairing.

We’re excited to introduce our new “Forever Young” fitness class as part of Bayada’s Wellness Programs! Held twice a month, this 45-minute class focuses on seated movement designed to keep residents active, engaged and feeling their best. It’s a great way to build strength, improve flexibility and have some fun!

We had a wonderful and informative presentation with Tom Caldwell, a coin expert from Northeast Numismatics in Concord, MA.

Tom shared a fascinating collection of rare coins, explained their history, value and answered residents’ thoughtful questions. It was a great opportunity to learn something new and see some truly unique pieces up close. Thank you, Tom, for spending the afternoon with us and sharing your expertise!

In honor of Valentine’s Day, we created a special “Romances to Remember” board celebrating the love stories that have touched and shaped our residents’ lives. From treasured photos with spouses and beloved pets, even favorite famous couples, each image represents a story, a memory and many meaningful moments. We’re honored to celebrate these beautiful romances that continue to live on in our hearts. ♥️

February is American Heart Month and with Valentine’s Day reminding us to celebrate love, it’s the perfect time to focus on caring for our hearts. Heart health becomes especially important as we age, but the good news is that small, consistent habits can make a meaningful difference.
