Tri County currently has flu vaccines for patients 4 years of age and older. We also have the High Dose Vaccine for our patients 65 years of age and older. Please call us at (770) 945-1990 to make an appointment to receive your vaccine. If you need a flu vaccine as soon as possible, you will be happy to hear that we also take walk-ins for flu shots. Tri County Internal Medicine is searching for a Medical Biller/Coder to join our independent and growing medical practice in the Buford area. Responsibilities Include:
•Effectively collaborate with providers and other staff regarding proper billing and coding standards.
•Job duties include: Daily generating, reviewing and transmitting claims. Assisting providers to document accurately and code to the highest level of specificity.
•Stay up to date with all CPT and ICD-10 coding changes.
•Conduct audits and coding reviews to ensure that all documentation is accurate and precise.
•Work denial report and writing appeals to insurance companies.
•Communicate with insurance companies and patients to resolve any insurance and/or billing issues.
Requirements / Skill Sets:
•Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
•Candidate must have a minimum of 1 year billing and coding experience in Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
•Must have CPC or CPC-A certification through the AAPC or AHIMA.
•Must have knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes.
•Must have knowledge of commercial insurance policy and procedures related to billing.
• Must have knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing.

Tri County Internal Medicine is searching for a Front Office Associate to join our independent and growing medical practice in the Buford area. Tri County is the longest established medical practice in the area. In this position, you’ll assist the patients to ensure they have a pleasant experience. See below for more details on responsibilities, requirements, and compensation.
Responsibilities Include:
• Schedule appointments for patients either by phone or in person via electronic scheduling system.
• Check in patients when they arrive. This includes making sure that each patient fills out the proper paperwork prior to visit and checking patient’s insurance to make sure all the information is up to date.
• Check out patients when they are ready to leave. This includes taking accurate payments and scheduling a patient’s next visit, if needed.
• Communicating with patients about scheduling times and any changes that might occur.
• Ensure that updates (e.g. cancellations and additions) are input daily into master schedule in scheduling system.
• Communicates as needed with other office staff about any patient concerns/issues.
• Answer phones and forward calls to appropriate departments accordingly.
• Use customer service principles and techniques to deal with patients calmly and pleasantly.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information (PHI).
• Verification of patient insurance
• Entering and balancing charges and payments
• Perform other office duties as directed by supervisor and/or department head.
Requirements / Skill Sets:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of one year or experience in an appointment scheduling position or customer service position, preferably in a medical practice setting.
• Competent in Microsoft Office, including Word, as well as computer literate and able to learn EHR and other computer systems
• Knowledge of medical practice front office protocols
• Knowledge of computers and scheduling
• Knowledge of customer service principles
• Skilled in communicating effectively with physicians, other office staff, and patients
• Able to multitask effectively, dealing with phone calls, in-office patients, staff, and other duties
• Able to stay organized
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required
• Able to analyze situations and respond appropriately
• Must be able to work evenings and some Saturdays
Commitment: Part-time and Full-time
Compensation: Hourly. Based on experience

In this position, you’ll assist the physicians in patient care. See below for more details on responsibilities, requirements, and compensation.
Providers count on Medical Assistants to:
• Prepare and assist the physician during an exam
• Perform routine clinical tasks, such as collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
• Taking patients medical histories and chief medical complaints
• Preparing and administering medications, as directed by a provider
• Measure vital signs, height, and weight
• Arranging for hospital admissions and laboratory services
• Perform X-Ray, EKG venipuncture, injections, and all clinical procedures related to patient care
Requirements / Skill Sets:
• Must have current MA certification
• Must have current CPR certification
• Must be able to work in a busy Internal Medicine environment and pay attention to fine detail while providing excellent patient care
• Experience with EHR (Electronic Health Record) preferred
• At least ONE YEAR of physician office experience
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• Must be able to work two nights a week and two Saturdays a month
Commitment: Full-time

Tri County would love to say a huge Thank You to our entire staff. The last year a half have been difficult and stressful, but our wonderful staff has taken everything in stride and kept this practice running. We are so lucky to have such wonderful and dedicated people working for us. If you happen to be in office at any point, please give our staff a big thank you for all that they do. They have been working hard in less than ideal circumstances, and they deserve to be recognized for their wonderful work. Thank you to all the first responders, doctors, nurses, essential staff, and anyone else who has worked so hard through this turbulent time, and a massive thank you to all the people who work with us at Tri County.
