Kidney stone prevention
The main treatment is to drink plenty of water. You should be making 2 liters of urine a day. This means your urine should be clear to light yellow. Dark urine indicates you are dehydrated.
If you have had one kidney stone, there is about a 50% chance you will get another one.
If you have passed multiple stones, there is likely an abnormality of the electrolytes in your urine. This can be investigated with testing of the blood and urine, and I can make specific dietary recommendations or sometimes prescribe medications that can help prevent new stones.
