We were happy to have Dr. Yang join us for her Memorial Hermann Residency rotation here at Mirvana Acupuncture
👏🎉. She shared with us what she learned. "I did a rotation with acupuncture to learn more about what acupuncture and traditional chinese medicine treat and how they compliment western medicine. I learned that acupuncture can help with fertility in addition to neuromusculoskeletal problems. I also learned useful information on when it is medically appropriate to refer to acupuncture and when it is contraindicated or less helpful. Dr. Patel is a great teacher!" Dr. Patel sits on the Community Advisory Board with Memorial Hermann. She is also an educator for MH Family Medicine, where residents are able to come in and shadow her here at Mirvana Acupuncture.
Memorial Hermann allows physicians to choose complementary and alternative treatments for their patient referrals instead of pushing pharmaceuticals. This gives patients options and an outlet for holistic health, blending eastern and western medicine.
During a recent board meeting they recognized Dr. Patel for the "Best Acupuncturist of 2025" in Living Magazine Award. Hands down we have the best doc in town 🩺 ♥️!

Contrary to popular belief , more and more young adults are coming in for acupuncture treatment, that include fertility, chronic pain and a host of other reasons. One of our current patient's wanted to share her experience with acupuncture and how it has helped her.
Meet Maddie. She is 19 years old and comes in for chronic migraines and chronic pain.
