Dial Up Delta

Dial Up Delta Science has proved that the brain is receptive to certain sounds, that enhance the deepest sleep.

Sleep is a Superpower but, we lose control at about 45. Like the erosion of other function, our ability to sleep becomes more elusive with age. It is no longer a matter of choice or convenience, but its function remains vital. There are some "sleep-hygiene" techniques that can help but unfortunately, most nights remain a gamble, despite the blue-blocker, early cessation of caffeine, breathing techniques, and on and on. Our bodies present a clue to a much more intricate mechanism. Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) does greatly slow the erosion of vitality by continuing testosterone for men and estrogen for women. Adding exercise compounds HRT's efficacy. However, the brain's symphony of activities and minute transmitter release is several orders of magnitude above the body. The reality is that no one knows what makes the brain go through the 90-100 minute, Ultradian Cycles. These are the primary driver of our sleep, Are they tied to the master clock - suprachiasmatic nucleus? Something triggers the neurotransmitters that in turn, determine the speed of transmission. The equation is dizzying, magnificently intricate and may never be unlocked. However, a mechanical, non-invasive means of deep sleep enhancement exists! Delta sleep is like HRT for your brain!

Sleep is Nonnegotiable. For decades we thought cheating on sleep was a reasonable price to pay for added success, that we could sleep when we're dead. Now however, the absolute necessity for sound sleep is firmly established. All that takes place during sleep is far from known but that it is essential, certain. We are here to refine a method to enhance sleep, whose quality steadily diminishes with age. As we age many changes occur: The brain shrinks, our muscles and bones weaken, our cognition diminishes, and our aerobic capacity declines. Not much to look forward to.In recent years, it has been discovered that certain auditory stimuli affect the deepest stage of sleep (Delta) positively. When we sleep, our Thalamus determines which stimuli pass through to wake us up. However, even at the decibel level of normal speech (60 Db), some stimuli do not wake us up but rather, entrain the brain unconsciously. These unique sounds cannot simply be played through the entire night, as the brain will habituate to them rendering them useless. Rather, they must be introduced WHEN the
brain's neural frequency is receptive. That is what we do

Sleep- things you didn't know. Sleep is anything but a uniform state of low neural activity; lots is going on. We complete 4 to 5, 90-100 minute sine wave like activities wherein our brains go from the speed/frequency you are in this moment, Beta 12-20 Hertz - adult, alert consciousness, hopefully all the way down to almost-off, Delta 1-4 Hertz. In between, we spend scant little time in Alpha 8-12 Hertz - lowest level of relaxed consciousness but, progressively more time in Theta - light sleep 4-7 Hertz. So what? The speed of the brain determines the allowable functions. And, the faster the speed, the more dispersed the activity, the slower the speed the more uniform the activity. We do our most vivid dreaming in Beta, during in a phase called Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep. We dream throughout the night but, story consistency is highest and fragmentation lowest in REM. If you are awakened in any stage of sleep, you may well recall a dream. However, the great stories are born in REM, which lengthens in each successive cycle of sleep. Meaning, your dreams get more involved and sophisticated the longer you are asleep because each REM period lengthens.
