I’m 62, an avid tennis player and lifelong athlete. I went to Patty in August because I felt my body had become top heavy; it was affecting my balance on the court, and I worried that would cause big problems with my joints. I hoped to increase my metabolism and restore a feeling of balance, to enhance my athletic performance.

Here I am in December with a better understanding of my nutritional needs—I’ve lost 19 pounds (size 10 to 6), dramatically reducing my % of body fat while increasing my muscle mass. Because of Patty’s tremendous knowledge, and her excellent communication skills, I feel like I understand for the first time how to use the macronutrients in food to improve my metabolism. My weight, BMI, skeletal muscle mass, metabolic rate, and body fat are all in the ideal range, and I feel balanced and focused on the tennis court.

I’m so grateful to Patty for her work with me, and I give her the highest possible recommendation. I really feel transformed thanks to her.

Here’s a few daily practical nutrition guidelines for you!


✨Balance macronutrients (The 3 Food Group: protein, carbs & fat on your plate)—A mix of complex carbohydrates, lean proteins, and healthy fats supports steady blood sugar and energy levels throughout the day.

✨Prioritize fiber—Aim for 25–38 grams daily to promote gut health, support cholesterol levels, and keep you full and satisfied.

✨Don’t skip meals—Eating regularly helps regulate hunger hormones like ghrelin and leptin, keeping cravings in check and metabolism supported.

✨Hydrate wisely—Even mild dehydration can impair cognitive function and energy. Aim for at least half your body weight in ounces of water daily.

✨Support your microbiome—Incorporate fermented foods and prebiotic-rich veggies to nourish gut bacteria that impact mood, immunity, and inflammation.
