We honored those who lost their lives in the tragic events of 9/11 and also took a moment to show our appreciation for the everyday heroes in our own community — our Sugar Land firefighters.
We wrote them letters filled with gratitude for all they continue to do to keep us safe, even long after that horrific day. We also dropped off some sweet treats for them to enjoy while they work tirelessly to protect us.
Thank you, Sugar Land Fire Department, for your service, bravery, and commitment. We appreciate you — today and every day. ❤️🚒

We know it's the little things that can make all the difference.

Javon, Resident Services Assistant at Atria Park of Ann Arbor, was awarded "Employee of the Month" for always going above and beyond for residents. His fellow teammates appreciate that he goes out of his way to make sure residents feel their best, and does it all with a smile.

Recently, he assisted Lorna to dinner and realized something wasn't quite right. "She always likes to wear her earrings and look her best," he shares. "So I went back to get them for her. She needed those earrings to feel like herself!"

Grandparents' Day was extra special this year! Leading up to the celebration, grandchildren dropped off their favorite “stuffies” to stay with residents for the week. The stuffed friends joined in on fitness classes, book clubs and even community outings – and we captured it all in photos to share with their grandchildren.

On Grandparents' Day itself, families reunited for Muffins with Grands, picked up their stuffies and keepsake photo booklets, played backyard games and ended the day with popcorn and a movie together.

It was a celebration of the love, laughter and the impact grandparents have on their families.

Bayou City Hospice will be sponsoring a cookies and drinks social, along with snapshot photos of grandchildren with their grandparents to help capture the special memories. Meet Jim, a Resident Ambassador at Atria at Foster Square!

Known for his friendly spirit, Jim loves welcoming new neighbors and helping them feel at home.

"It's such a great experience to live in a community like this one," he shares. "There are so many things to do, and the staff is amazing!" He is a proud member of almost all of the community's clubs and councils: Resident Ambassadors, Resident Council, Movie Club, discussion groups and more.

Jim even took one of his favorite songs, "I Love This Bar" by Toby Keith, and reworded it to show his love for Foster Square. He sings it at karaoke night!

We’re so grateful for our Resident Ambassadors, who make our communities more connected places every day.

We had a refreshing and cheerful time celebrating National Lemonade Day with our residents! The event featured a lively game of bingo, delicious lemon cake paired with sugar-free lemonade, and lots of smiles all around.
The highlight of the day? Our grand prize winner, Felina took home an adorable lemon-themed bag- which was a big hit thanks to its super cute design!

We had such a lovely time shopping at Painted Tree-so many amazing vendors with beautiful clothes, jewelry, and unique finds!
After browsing (and a little buying of course), we headed to Chili's for a delicious lunch and some much-needed girl time. Great food, great laughs, and even better company.

We embraced the spirit of nature with our Great Outdoors Social Series event!
We mixed things up at the trail mix bar and learned about local natural landscapes and wildlife.
Wisdom meets wonder as our residents got up close with nature's quiet creatures.
We learned about snakes from all over the world- starting right here in our hometown on Sugar Land and stretching as far as Africa. Michelle and her husband, passionate snakes educators, shared their love and knowledge, helping us see these animals in new light.
Many of us faced our fears-some even touched a snake for the very first time, and a few brave souls wore one around their necks! We didn't hold back our facial expressions, but we embraced the moment with courage and curiosity.
This experience is truly one for the books. 🐍💚
