A slight curve shouldn't change a life.
But for many living with scoliosis, it does.

At first, it’s subtle:
• Uneven shoulders
• Back pain that comes and goes
• One pant leg that always fits differently

But over time, scoliosis can become
more than a cosmetic curve.

It can affect breathing, movement, confidence...
and quality of life.

And the hardest part is that
many people don’t even know they have it.

• Until the pain becomes constant.
• Until posture turns into pressure.
• Until they’re told,
“This could’ve been caught earlier.”

Early screening matters.
Non-invasive treatments help.
The earlier you act, the better the outcome.

If you or someone you love
is showing early signs of scoliosis,
give our physical therapy team a call
to see how we can help.

Let’s start with a simple conversation.

They told her to stand up straight,
but her spine had other plans.

Scoliosis isn’t a posture problem.

It’s a spinal condition that affects
millions of children and teens,
often without obvious symptoms at first.

• 7 million people in the U.S. have scoliosis
• Most are diagnosed between ages 10–15
• Girls are 8x more likely to need treatment

Early signs might include:
• Uneven shoulders
• One hip higher than the other
• Clothes that don’t hang right

Left untreated, scoliosis can lead to:
• Chronic pain
• Reduced mobility
• Breathing issues in severe cases

But here’s the good news.

With early detection and the right care,
most children can avoid surgery altogether.

This Scoliosis Awareness Month,
don’t ignore the signs.

Tired of being told your joint pain
is just ‘part of aging’?

You know your body.
And when something doesn’t feel right,
you feel it in your bones.

Literally.

Joint pain that won’t go away
isn’t just inconvenient.

It could be
your immune system
sending a signal.

A persistent, aching signal.

➜ Stiff knees after rest
➜ Swollen hands in the morning
➜ Fatigue that hits harder than it should
➜ Pain that moves from one joint to another

These are more than just "getting older."
They could be early signs of
Rheumatoid Arthritis.

It’s not just a wear-and-tear issue.

It’s your immune system
turning against your joints,
causing inflammation, pain,
and over time… DAMAGE.

We’re not here to scare you.
We’re here to remind you that...
Early attention matters.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀?
Think again.

There are 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝘆𝗽𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀.

Many of them start in your 30s, 20s, or even earlier.

Here are 3 of the most common:

𝟭. 𝗢𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗼𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀
The classic “wear and tear” type.

𝟮. 𝗥𝗵𝗲𝘂𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗶𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀
An autoimmune form that is
2–3x more common in women.

𝟯. 𝗣𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀
Linked to psoriasis and often overlooked.

⚠️ Warning signs?
• Fatigue
• Morning stiffness
• Swelling or joint pain
• Trouble moving like you used to

If joint pain is creeping into your
daily routine, don’t ignore it.

Sometimes, finding the pain
is the first step to fixing it.

If you’ve tried rest,
physical therapy, or
even medication—
and the pain is still there—
it might be time for a new approach.

Your pain could be coming from
the 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲,
called 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘁 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀.

And one of the best ways to find out
is with a 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 (𝗠𝗕𝗕).

Here’s how it works.

• We inject a local anesthetic near
the nerves that carry pain
from your facet joints.

• If your pain decreases,
we’ve found the likely source.

• Even better, the injection
can provide 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳—
a small win that opens the door to bigger ones.

• If it works, you may be a candidate for
other treatments that offer
longer-lasting relief.

A medial branch block isn’t just
about managing symptoms.

It’s about 𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀—
so you don’t have to live in the dark anymore.

Still hurting?
Don’t guess your way through pain.

1 in 4 Americans have arthritis.
That’s not rare—that’s reality.

“just a little stiffness,”
think again.

↳ It’s pain that lingers.
↳ It’s swelling that limits movement.

And it’s not just a condition for older adults.

Arthritis affects people in their 30s, 20s—even kids.

There are many different types,
and they don’t all look the same.

↳ Some flare up.
↳ Some creep in slowly.
↳ All of them are real—and they’re treatable.

We see the frustration.
We hear the stories.
We help you take the next step.

What’s the difference between an Epidural Steroid Injection and a Facet Joint Injection? 🤔

If you’ve been dealing with back pain,
you may have heard your doctor mention
Epidural Steroid Injection or
Facet Joint Injection

Both involve injections.
Both help with pain.
But they target different issues.

Think of Epidural Steroid Injection (ESI)
as a treatment for nerve-related pain.

If your pain shoots down your
leg or arm (like sciatica),
this may be your doctor’s go-to.

🔹 It delivers medication into the epidural space—right around the spinal nerves.
🔹 The goal is to reduce inflammation and calm irritated nerves.

Facet Joint Injection focuses more on
joint pain in the spine—not nerve pain.

If you feel stiff or achy in your lower back,
especially when turning or twisting,
this might be the better option.

🔹 It goes directly into the small joints of the spine (the facet joints).
🔹 The goal is to reduce pain coming from arthritic or irritated spinal joints.

So, which is right for you?

That depends on your pain pattern,
MRI results, and
your doctor’s evaluation.

We help you decide what works best—
and we’re here to answer all your questions.

Because when it comes to back pain,
the right treatment makes all the difference.

Still unsure which one you need?

Let’s talk.

Back pain is personal.
So is your treatment.

If your doctor has mentioned
an epidural steroid injection or
a medial branch block,
your first thought was probably:

“Umm… what’s the difference?”

Totally fair.

They might sound similar—
and they both involve a needle—
but they’re actually used for
very different types of pain.

Here’s the quick version
(the long one has way too many medical terms):

Epidural Steroid Injection (ESI)
Used when nerves are inflamed—

Think sciatica or shooting pain
down your leg or arm.

It targets swelling and
calms irritated nerve roots.

Medial Branch Block (MBB)
Used when the problem is in the facet joints (those little joints along your spine).

This one is often more about
diagnosing where your pain is coming from.

It’s great for arthritis-type pain
that sticks to your back or neck.

So:
• If your pain radiates → ESI
• If it stays local and achy → MBB
• Still not sure? → That’s what we’re here for.

Both are outpatient
Both take just minutes
Both can help you get answers—and relief

Back pain isn’t one-size-fits-all.
Your treatment shouldn’t be either.

If you’ve tried meds, therapy, or rest
and you’re still in pain,
we can help.

Schedule a visit and let’s talk about what’s best for you.

Chronic pain stealing your joy?
An epidural steroid injection might help.

For many people living with chronic pain—
especially in the lower back or neck—
everyday tasks can feel impossible.

But there’s good news:
Epidural Steroid Injections (ESIs) 💉
are one of the most common and
effective ways to relieve
inflammation and reduce nerve pain.

Here’s what we tell our patients:
✔️ It’s not surgery
✔️ It’s done in minutes
✔️ And for many people, it provides relief
that helps them move, sleep, and feel better again.

Check out the attached guide
were we walk you through:

🔹 What an ESI is
🔹 How it works
🔹 What to expect during the procedure
🔹 And how long the relief can last

If you still have questions,
we’re happy to walk you through it in person.
