Wildland Rope Rescue- 9:43: 177 Rescue was requested to assist Hobbie Volunteer Fire and Ambulance with a patient that was hit by a tree down an embankment. Rope haul system with set in place with our stokes basket to package the patient and hauled up. Patient was handed over to EMS.

10:52 177 Rescue was requested for possible rope rescue in Nescopeck Township. 2 young fishermen we’re fishing along Nescopec river, the water rose several feet in minutes stranding both of them in the middle of rapid waters. Berwick water rescue was already on scene. We were requested for technical rope assistance since water rescue boat was not able to make it in. We rigged ropes to tie off victim and rescue swimmer and a haul system to bring them in. We also had our rescue swimmer on standby. We operated on scene for about 2 1/2 hours and safely brought all victims and rescue swimmers back on land. Geisinger EMS was on scene to assess victims.

9:12 Request for Fire at Candlewood Suites hotel in Sugarloaf with possible forced entry needed in a hotel room. Dog was stranded in the room with the door completely broken/inoperable. Owner was worried about dog and building maintenance could not get fast enough. Crews forcibly opened door and rescued a very friendly puppy! Crews returned to rappel training after.
