Purple Heart patriots have given their all – for their comrades, for the ones back home, and for our country. While simple words can never be enough to repay their bravery, please join us in thanking these heroes for their service.

Our Story

Cedar Hill Funeral Home, Inc. is located on Cedar Hill Cemetery, a picturesque wooded cemetery. Our new full service 15,000+ square foot funeral home facility is designed with our families in mind. The cemetery consists of 150 acres, which holds many scenic landmarks and two distinctive bridges overlooking ponds that serve as homes for wildlife. An interesting fact about the cemetery is that it is the location where the early churches performed their baptisms. The oldest known tombstone reads, “Philenia W. Patte, Nov. 19, 1871, 58 years.” There is also a mass grave for the victims of the Terra Cotta Railroad wreck that occurred near Washington, DC. It was reported in the Star newspaper on Dec, 31, 1906 that there were more than 50 victims and 45 bodies identified. Over the years, several movies, as well as a documentary, were filmed here. Our chapel has hosted many weddings, and our pond has been the backdrop for numerous pictures for special occasions. To date, Cedar Hill has had more than 65,000 burials. Cedar Hill Funeral Home, Inc. and Cemetery offers you unparalleled convenience. Located on the border of Maryland and the District of Columbia, you can arrange for complete funeral services -- all in one location. The entire facility is designed to be handicapped accessible. We have an ample parking area that is well lit.

Cedar Hill Cemetery offers traditional ground burials, lawn crypts, three mausoleums (two from the early 1900s), cremation burial, a pet cemetery, and private mausoleums.
