This feels big. 💥

After starting out as a nurse, I spent 16 years working behind the scenes in healthcare billing and operations. I saw the good, the broken, and the need for something better.

So 18 months ago, I took a leap and started Innovative RCM—with a clear vision: do great work, be honest, and help clinics succeed.

Since then, we’ve become a preferred RCM partner for FYZICAL, and now we’re excited to announce we’re also a strategic partner for their credentialing services nationwide.

In less than two years, we’ve gone from idea to national partnership—and I couldn’t be more proud of this team, our clients, and what we’re building.

Prior Authorizations: One of the Biggest Time Wasters in Healthcare

Anyone working in healthcare knows the struggle.

✔ Endless faxing and uploading to portals
✔ Hours on the phone
✔ Delays in patient care
✔ Unclear requirements that vary by payer

Prior authorizations have become one of the most frustrating and time-consuming parts of running a clinic. Providers and staff are often left jumping through hoops just to get the green light for medically necessary services.

This insurer pledge sets a promising roadmap—with voluntary standards launching in 2026 and full e‑PA by 2027—to deliver:
1. Real‑time insurance approvals
2. Consistent patient care during plan transitions
3. Transparent accountability via clear decision rationales

Still lots of work to be done to remove bottlenecks and get providers paid for the services they provide.

This is a good start—

Health insurers accounting for roughly 75% of U.S. patients signed an industry-led pledge this week for improving patient care through reforming their prior-authorization requirements.
