"National Homes for the Aging week" is next week. We have a busy schedule.
Monday-Mother's Day Celebration. We will begin with "spa" day in the morning. Facials, foot soaks, and of course chocolate. At 2:00 p.m. we will be having a Mother's Day tea. Guests will receive a beautiful gift that was put together by our lady residents. (I can't wait to post pictures.) Tuesday-Celebrate History Day. We will begin at 11:00 a.m. with employees pretending to be women in history. Hopefully the residents will know who we are supposed to be. At 2:00 p.m. we will have a Titus manor History social. At this time, we will talk about how this home came to be what it is. The residents and employees will watch the segment about our beautiful home on Illinois Stories that was aired a while back. Wednesday is "Our Story Day". At 11:00, the ladies will share stories about their lives and pictures. At 2:00 p.m. we are having a wedding party...complete with a wedding cake, and all of the festivities of a wedding reception. The ladies and employees will be sharing their wedding pictures and reminiscing about their married lives. Thursday is National Museum Day. At 10:00 a.m. the ladies will be off to have lunch at the Olive Garden in Champaign, Il. After lunch, they will be traveling to Mahomet to visit the Museum of the Grand Prairie. Friday is Employee Appreciation Day. At 11:00, we will be sharing our baby pictures and trying to guess who is who. Residents will be participating as well. At 12:00, Terry Warren is graciously catering in a wonderful lunch for staff and residents. (Thank you so much Terry). At 1:00, we will all be playing Bingo for some fabulous prizes. And last of all, the Prairieland Pickers will be here at 2:00 to entertain us with some good old fashioned music. The staff at Titus Manor are very blessed to have such wonderful lady residents and families. If anyone wants to attend any of our festivities, please feel free to join us.
