Hello Everyone,
The World Championship Bass on the Fly Fishing Tournament was started in 2008 by Ted Warren at Lake Fork, TX. Ted’s vision was to bring like-minded groups and individuals together who support not only the sport of Fly Fishing but to help raise awareness and funds for one of his favorite charities – Reel Recovery. Our Mission
Our mission is to raise funds for dedicated 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organizations whose mission is to promote healing for individuals who are dealing with or are survivors of cancer and/or trauma. Currently, those organizations include:
• Patriot Anglers (https://patriotanglers.org)
o Through one-on-one guided fly-fishing outings, we attempt to increase veterans well-being, renew their sense of camaraderie, and enhance their desire to move forward with their healing process.
• Reel Recovery (https://reelrecovery.org)
o Reel Recovery is a national non-profit organization that conducts FREE FLY FISHING RETREATS for men living with all forms of cancer.
• Casting for Recovery (https://castingforrecovery.org)
o Casting for Recovery is a national non-profit organization that enhances the lives of women with breast cancer by connecting them to each other and nature through the therapeutic sport of fly fishing. In 2023, we were able to donate approximately $2500 to our beneficiaries in addition to the Prize money given to our Tournament Winners. This tournament is managed as a Non-Profit which means your donations to Bass on the Fly Fishing Tournament ensures our success.
