Happy 7th Workversary to our terrific Tamara! Tamara is a loving wife and mother, fun friend, dedicated Director of Sulphur Lights On ABA, supportive supervisor, and a fierce advocate for our learners and families. She is brilliant, compassionate, strong, and wonderful. She excels at communication, always extends a helpful hand, supports and encourages the team at every turn, and is an exceptional teacher for adults and children. Tamara is a strong leader and an incredible person to learn from and look up to. She values each person and puts our learners’ wants, needs, and personalities first and foremost. Tamara gives coffee credit for energizing her for work every morning and her future career plans are simply continuing to do what she loves the most, being an integral part of Lights On ABA and being a complete rock star in the field of ABA. When asked how she chose this amazing and necessary field, Tamara says it was unexpected and a funny story. She was a program coordinator for her college’s autism program during graduate school, where she was pursuing the career of a licensed professional counselor. While taking online courses, her school realized she lived locally and required Tamara to take an in-person class. Once she faced her fears, Tamara enrolled in a Principles of Behavior course, a class logically required for both counseling and ABA majors. Despite never really being interested in science, she fell in love with the science of behavior. Her professor encouraged Tamara to tour the ABA center at her college and the deal was sealed, she realized exactly what she was meant to do in life. Tamara, you truly belong in this field and on the Lights On ABA team. We are so blessed to know you and work beside you. You are an inspiration and you make a difference in the world! We are incredibly proud of you and what you have accomplished, and we look forward to many more years being shared with you. Happy Workversary, Tamara!
