Did your childhood impact your adulthood?
A lot of what begins in childhood will shape the way you are in adulthood.
As a child, I was unapologetically a headstrong leader, always marching to the beat of my own drum in pursuit of my passions. This independent spirit meant I often stood apart from the "in" crowd, even leading to the dance team drawing straws to decide who would have to be my "big sis." I even remember my mom receiving a handwritten letter from another parent, doubting whether I'd ever be enough.
These experiences have shaped me into an adult who is comfortable without seeking approval from others. I am willing to go against the grain and embrace paths less traveled. I am confident in my purpose, holding it close to my heart. In challenging times, I remind myself that my calling is uniquely mine—it's not a conference call.
