On February 14, 2025, our daughter Laney, sustained a traumatic injury while training for middle school cheer tryouts. Just three weeks before tryouts, she broke her arm in two places. The injury put her in a full arm cast. We were heartbroken for her as she had been working so hard for this moment. Her future in cheer was uncertain. Through all of the ups and downs the next three weeks brought us, Laney worked incredibly hard and with God’s faithfulness, she made the Corner Middle School Cheer Squad. We are so thankful that the Lord placed an incredible team of doctors, nurses, ortho staff, cheer coaches, and trainers in our path. That faithfulness didn’t stop with her post injury recovery. She had a very long road ahead. She had to gain her strength back and her confidence back in being able to tumble again. Summit Physical Therapy was another step in Gods plan in getting Laney back to cheer. They exceeded every expectation and Laney was able to find her confidence again. We are so thankful for Kim, Braxton, and the entire staff for taking care of our girl, not only physically preparing her, but also mentally. She is now living her best cheer life and we are so grateful that God led us to Summit.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month 🎗️There are so many kids and families facing this most difficult and heart wrenching journey. We have been so blessed by watching this little warrior and his sweet family who handle the challenges with grace and the sweetest, most contagious smiles! May we all be challenged to pray for all these warriors, focus on our blessings, and pass on a smile!💛

I had been dealing with shoulder pain for years. I finally went to the doctor to get it fixed. So on May 29th I had a shoulder arthroscopy to clean up debridement of my labrum and some bursitis. Because I had already completed some weeks of physical therapy, the recovery was a breeze. I was out of my sling and back to completing everyday activities pain free within a week. I can’t thank Braxton and his team at Summit Physical Therapy enough. The combination of care, knowledge and passion they display is second to none. They’re the best!

My experience at the SUMMIT Physical Therapy located in Sumiton was great. Words cannot express my appreciation for each and every therapist that is part of the team.

I had back surgery in March of 2025, when returning for my follow up appointment the Surgeon recommended Physical Therapy. A family member had been a patient at a different location and was well satisfied with the care she received. Because of the location I chose the Summit and I have no regret.

During the next several months I found the staff to be ever so caring, respectful, and everyone had the same goal in mind, and that was for me to have the best outcome possible after a time of therapy.

I never had to wait for more than a few short minutes before my exercise program began.

There were times when I had difficulty doing certain exercises. With kindness and concern their attitude was, “no problem” we can modify the plan for you today.

In the past I have had physical therapy, however, it was never as thorough as my experience at the Summit.

I will continue to recommend Braxton and Kim and their staff to those needing their expertise. It’s a place where you will be respected, encouraged, cared for, and last but not least, where the main goal will be your recovery. They will work with you to have the best possible outcome.

I feel that Summit PT staff were wonderful. Everyone was personable, while at the same time being professional. I was always greeted when I arrived, and not just at the registration desk.

I had the opportunity to receive care from more than one staff member, and all were attentive and thorough. I would especially like to recognize Joshua Alvis, DPT. I met him at my first visit and we discussed my plan of care and my needs. He was encouraging and thorough with my care. I felt I hit some snags in achieving my therapy goals- but he never gave up! If one exercise wasn’t helping the way he thought it should, he looked into other methods of helping me achieve my goals.

I can’t say enough positive things about my care at Summit Physical Therapy, and highly recommend them to anyone who needs PT care.

The loss of life is always hard, but
honestly there are no words to express the waves of sadness and heartbreak that are rippling through our community in the tragic loss of 2 young men and all the lives that are affected.
Being from a small town and working in a small, tight knit community is a blessing. We are able to take care of those we love, friends of friends, loved ones of friends, etc. Our patients often become more like family and loss of that family, be it directly or indirectly, will shake you to the core. Please continue to pray for our community!

After having a total knee replacement on my left knee on March 24, 2025, I chose Summit for my physical therapy—and I’m so glad I did. Kim, Braxton, and the entire staff at Summit were always courteous, helpful, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Their professionalism and support made a huge difference in my recovery. Thanks to their help, I’ve already climbed back into my boat and hit the lakes for some bass fishing. I truly appreciate everything they’ve done for me!

Hi my name is Linda Ivy. I am 67 years old. On March 31st, 2025, I had a left total hip arthroplasty. Also during the surgery I sustained an incidental greater trochanteric fracture.
I can’t say enough good things about Summit Physical Therapy. They are excellent therapists kindness, friendship and love to be around.
I want to thank Braxton, Kim, Joshua, Zac (Curly) and everyone else who helped me get to where I am today, June 16th, 2025. Everyone that works there make you feel like family. They treat you very special. Joshua was my therapist and I could not thank him enough for helping me ditching the walker and cane. He was never pushy or insisting me to do things that were too difficult.
I highly recommend Summit Physical Therapy to anyone interested in Physical Therapy.

I kept hearing “you know you’re not as young as you used to be right?” I wasn’t expecting to be injured coaching softball and although no one at Summit could turn back time on my age, they did on my health. I’m so thankful for their patience, dedication, and kindness during my recovery. I got to work with every staff member in some form or fashion and they were all phenomenal! They pushed me to do more than I thought I could but were supportive when I didn’t reach my goals right away. I feel like I’ve added more members to my village and I will forever be thankful for them! 🩵🏔️

I started physical therapy sessions on April 15th due to left hip replacement surgery. My therapist was Josh Alvis, and he was very knowledgeable and professional. He taught me exercises at the facility and assigned exercises for me to do at home for my hip, which has really helped me to be more mobilized without pain. Braxton, Kim and their entire staff are the best! They are all kind, professional, and compassionate. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a place to go for physical therapy.

“Summit Physical Therapy is amazing. I had a total hip replacement and the day after surgery I was in therapy at Summit Physical Therapy. Everyone there took great care of me pushing me just hard enough and encouraging me to push myself. Three months later I am able to walk straight and able to run again have not been able to do that in 4 years. I can never thank them enough Braxton, Kim, Zack,Josh,Lauren, Jake and Leah you are all so caring and wonderful people . Thank you so much for taking care of me!”
