Two amazing women!
Our Volunteer Highlights
Lights, Camera, Action….
The two talented Guild members behind the cameras, Phyllis Citron and Peggy Hamilton are the volunteers who feature the Guild’s story to the community, and membership by way of many social media outlets. The highlights and photos of the Guild activities aid in sharing our vision that music matters, our support of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra, Inc. and informs our audience of the financial, educational and promotional activities available.
Phyllis joined the Guild in 2015 the year following her daughter’s, Charley Lanza , 2014 Symphony Ball Presentation. She jumped in with both feet and has held several important committee positions within the Presentation Ball and general Guild sharing her many talents and leadership qualities. No job is too large for Phyllis from name tag design, to overseeing events, directing the Presentation Ball and serving on the governing body of the Ball. She is one busy volunteer.
Peggy joined the Guild in 1986. There is hardly a job or event that she has not touched during her 34 years of serving as a voice for music education. She has held countless committee positions, leadership roles and is the recipient of numerous honors within the Guild. Her daughter, Sara, was presented by the Symphony Presentation Ball in 1996. Peggy’s knowledge and service to the Guild is exceptional and an ongoing value to the organization.
Next time you see these two give them a “shout out” and thank them for the countless years of service, numerous hours of devotion and love of music. (And let them know how much fun it was making these press badges!)
