Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their courage, service, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with family and friends this weekend, let’s also remember that Memorial Day can be emotional for many — especially veterans, military families, and those grieving loved ones. A simple check-in, kind word, or listening ear can make a bigger difference than we realize. ❤️

Freedom comes with sacrifice, and healing sometimes comes with support.
Today we remember the fallen… and we stand beside the living.

Highlighting Wellness Coach, Carla Barr
WATER/HYDRATION helpful hints from Carla....

Drinking water is vital for maintaining nearly all body functions, including temperature regulation, joint lubrication, nutrient transport, waste removal, and cognitive health. Proper hydration prevents fatigue, aids digestion, keeps skin healthy, and reduces the risk of kidney stones. Daily, aim for adequate fluid intake, often recommended around 8 glasses (64 oz), though needs vary by activity and climate.

Key Health Benefits of Hydration
• Physical Performance & Energy: Adequate hydration prevents fatigue and supports muscle function.
• Brain Function: Water improves focus, alertness, and short-term memory.
• Body Temperature Regulation: Water enables the body to release heat when it is hot or during exercise.
• Joint and Tissue Health: Water cushions joints and protects sensitive tissues.
• Digestive and Kidney Health: Water aids in digestion and helps the kidneys remove waste, reducing the risk of kidney stones.
Signs of Dehydration
• Dark yellow or orange urine
• Dizziness, lightheadedness, or fatigue
• Dry mouth or lips
• Headaches
Tips for Staying Hydrated
• Carry a water bottle for easy access.
• Drink water before, during, and after exercise.
• Drink water when you feel hungry; thirst is often mistaken for hunger.
• Add fruits like lemon or lime for flavor
