This Monday (January 15th)
The attitude of victorious living is “HONESTY”

I honestly examine myself in the light of Gods Word !

This attitude is the developing within the child of God by the Holy Spirit, a craving for righteousness it is part of the sanctification process. Generally, as soon as one accepts Christ they begin to desire, hunger, and thirst for righteousness in their life. This is accomplished as they seek the Lord through his word, prayer, church, attendance, fellowship, and worship.

If we want to grow spiritually, we need to take the responsibility to understand that we seldom know what is in our own heart. We need to teach other this concept. We can ask God to help us examine our hearts to see if there’s any weakness in us .

Psalm 139:23-24 “ Search me, God, and know my heart, test me and know my concerns. See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the everlasting way. “

“‘Alas!’ says he, ‘it is not enough for me to know that my sin is forgiven. I have a fountain of sin within my heart, and bitter waters continually flow from it. Oh, that my nature could be changed, so that I, the lover of sin, could be made a lover of that which is good; that I, now full of evil, could become full of holiness!’” (Spurgeon)

Tonight’s attitude : Submissive

Jesus said : “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth”

I GIVE MY WILL AND MY LIFE TO JESUS CHRIST !

* A meek ATTITUDE is one that is submissive to the will of God -a tempered spirit-one that can be molded into the image and likeness of Jesus .

* A meek SPIRIT is one that is gentle and yielded to Christ, strong in Christ and self controlled by His Spirit and ours- a life submitted to God and His will for our lives.

Application :
What does it mean to turn your life and will over to Christ ?

1. It means to relinquish self-will , your self-serving attitude over to Him -and to trust that He can and will care for you because of His great love for you.

2. You must trust/believe that He did come not just to sacrifice His life for your sins, but to give you a new and abundant life. 

John 10:10 “ I have come, that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”

Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. It is His way of life that He wants you to have. His way —-not your way.

The Most Excellent Way is centered upon Jesus’ Sermon on the mount, in Matthew Chapter 5. With Jesus’ sermon as our foundation we learn :

*To examine our hearts.
*To be renewed in our minds.
*To live the spiritual life by putting off the old habits and learning how to live the life that God has always intended for us to live .
