Dr. Prat Itharat is a board certified ophthalmologist. He completed his training at Vanderbilt University in Nashville Tennessee, where he was elected to be Chief Resident. He moved to the Lowcountry in 2008 and practiced with another group before opening his practice in 2012.

He specializes in small incision cataract surgery and practices advanced cataract surgery techniques such as the use of laser assisted cataract surgery and advanced lens implants. These technologies help to not only restore vision, but to also decrease the dependency on glasses after surgery.
