Our patients weighed in on the best over-the-counter shoes and insoles and here is what they said:

Brooks with a Powerstep insole work best for flat feet. The insole is very important because the factory insoles are not firm enough to provide that much-needed arch support.

Ultra or Kuru work best for a high arched foot.

Hokas work best for ball of foot pain.

Every foot is different, there is not one shoe that works best for everyone. Our philosophy is, if the shoe feels good and resolves your issues, it's a good shoe. But if you're having a hard a time finding the right shoe for your foot, this a great place to start!

Tis the season for Keratin Granulations! So many patients have asked me about this recently so I thought I should share this information with everyone.

These chalky white spots are called Keratin Granulations and they are due to the drying effect from nail polish and nail polish removers. They can be buffed out during a Medical Pedicure but they weaken the nail and may make the nail more susceptible to fungus. So, if your nails look like this right now, it is time to schedule a Medical Pedicure and take a break from nail polish.
