Mr. Clarence Franklin “Cedy” Rollins, Jr., age 79 of Rome, Georgia passed away Friday, January 9, 2026 in a Rome hospital.

Mr. Rollins was born in Cave Spring, Georgia on December 1, 1946, son of the late Clarence Franklin Rollins, Sr. and Annie Ruth Myers Rollins. He was a member of the Holy Ground Church and prior to retirement, was employed with Integrated Products as a Truck Driver and had previously worked in the pulpwood and logging industry. Mr. Rollins enjoyed fishing, working in his yard, especially riding his zero turn mower, piddling and listening to Gospel Music.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Rollins was preceded in death by sisters, Louise Wade, Myrtle Ashley and Sara Bearden; brothers, Grady Rollins and Floyd Rollins; mother-n-law, Julia Lord and a daughter-in-law, Becky Rollins.

Mr. Rollins is survived by his wife, Sara Rollins; sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Jean Rollins, Hank and Darlene Rollins, Dell and Terri Rollins and Jeffery and Wanda Rollins; sister, Gail Wade; special neighbors and friends, Doug and Joynce Aaron; 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Rollins will be held Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Kim Wolfe officiating. Interment will be at 4:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will include Barry Rollins, Jeffery Rollins, Dell Rollins, Hank Rollins, Frank Bearden and Franklin Selman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Marvin Henderson and Doug Aaron.

Mr. Rollins’ family will receive friends at the Coffman Funeral Home Tuesday from 12:00 Noon until the funeral hour.

Sandra Adelia Smallan Brock, better known as Sammye Brock, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026.

Sammye was a lifelong resident of Chattooga County, where she built a life rooted in hard work, loyalty, and deep connections with family and friends. She retired from Mt. Vernon Mills after many years of dedicated service, earning the respect of coworkers through her strong work ethic and steadfast commitment.

She was a proud life member of The American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW Auxiliary, reflecting her appreciation for service and community.

Sammye cherished time spent with her family and friends. She delighted in playing games, shopping, and laughing, and her joyful spirit brought warmth to every gathering. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Tina Brock Tucker; her parents, Howard Marcus Smallan Jr. and Margaret Louise Byrd Smallan; her brother, Jerry Smallan; her sister, Glenda Smallan Williams; brother-in-law, Randy Brock and a nephew, Josh Brock.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Brock; her cherished granddaughter, Skylar Tucker; her sister, Judy Smallan Stanek King; and her nieces Rhonda Williams Ewing, Mary Stanek, Christi Maupin, and Lynn Stanek; and her nephews Joe Smallan, J. Marc Williams, and Bowden Brock, along with many extended family members and dear friends.

Sammye’s life was marked by devotion, laughter, and love. Her legacy lives on in the memories she created and the hearts she touched.

In accordance with her wishes, Sammye will be cremated and the family may have a private memorial service at a later date.

Mrs. Edna Jean Westbrook, age 78 of Trion, Georgia passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026 in a Rome hospital.

Mrs. Westbrook was born in Trion, Georgia on December 16, 1947, daughter of the late William Ralph McWhorter and Edna Florence Sills McWhorter. She was an avid BINGO player and enjoyed working in her yard.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Westbrook was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Westbrook and her step-mother, Ola McWhorter.

Mrs. Westbrook is survived by three sons and daughter-in-law, Sammy Westbrook, Jim and Karen Westbrook and Robert Westbrook; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Vickie McWhorter; grandchildren, Ashley(Kyle) Hale, Brittney(BJ Williams) Westbrook, Anthony Westbrook, Ashlynn Westbrook, Robert Westbrook, Jr.(Georgia Rose), Brianna(Isaiah) Bussey and Cody Westbrook; great grandchildren, Adalynn Hale, Jaxon Hale, Jay Williams, Zelia Williams and Kohen Bussey; niece, Candie McWhorter and a nephew, William McWhorter.

Mr. William Calvin “Bill” Mosier, age 69 of Mentone, Alabama passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

Mr. Mosier was born in Summerville, Georgia on August 12, 1956, son of the late Alfred Francis Mosier and Syble Nell Scoggins Mosier. He was a retired veteran of the United States Army, where he was a watercraft operator. Mr. Mosier was very active in DAV, Disabled Veterans, while living in Virginia. He enjoyed yard work and being outside.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Mosier was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Ron Parkman and James “Pat” Pledger; and two nephews, Kyle Pledger and Brad Parkman.

Mr. Mosier is survived by his wife, Charlotte Mosier; sons and daughters-in-law, Toby and Diane Mosier, Chris Mosier, Alex Mosier and Charles “Chuck” and Nicole Huntley; Daughters and son-in-law, Christina C**n and Cecelia and Ed Lemming; sisters, Shirley Pledger and Gail Parkman; good friends, Phil and Kim McGuire; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and

Mr. Charles Franklin Jenkins, age 72 of Summerville, Georgia passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 28, 2025.

Mr. Jenkins was born in Lafayette, Georgia on July 2, 1953, son of the late Robert H. Jenkins and Margarett Wilson Millican. He was retired from Roper Corporation, where he was a press operator. Mr. Jenkins was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed working on the farm and with his tractor, but his favorite activity was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by a grandson, Alex Jenkins; great granddaughter, Natalie Jenkins; a sister, Elizabeth Stinnett and a brother, Robert Grady Jenkins.

Mr. Jenkins is survived by his wife, Doris Burrage Jenkins; daughter, Angela Avalos; sons and daughters-in-law, Franklin and Angela Jenkins, Billy and Ashley Jenkins and Chris and Dana Jenkins; sisters and brothers-in-law, Margie and Tom Lawton and Stella and Bobby Kilgore; brothers and sister-in-law, John Jenkins and David and Susie Jenkins; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. John Wayne Stowe, age 60 of Trion, Georgia passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 25, 2025 in a Rome hospital.

Mr. Stowe was born in Lafayette, Georgia on March 10, 1965, son of Charlotte Clements Stowe and the late John David Stowe. He was employed with Mohawk Industries, where he was an electrician. Mr. Stowe was an avid outdoorsman and loved doing anything that had him outside.

Mr. Stowe is survived by his wife, Tonya Stowe; daughter, Stephanie Stowe; step-daughter, Kaitlin Montgomery; mother, Charlotte Stowe; brother and sister-in-law, Lance and Sheila Stowe; grandson, Cayden “Pork Chop” Dodd; his pup-pup, Daisy; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside and Interment Services for Mr. Stowe will be held Sunday, December 28, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. in the West Hill Cemetery with Rev. Chris Gibson officiating. Those desiring to attend the graveside are asked to assemble at the West Hill Cemetery at 2:45 P.M. Sunday.

Pallbearers will be Cayden Dodd, Brandon Stowe, Dennis Bandy, Terry Tinney, Phil Hall, Kevin Lee, Mike Anderson and Steve Anderson.

There will be no public visitation.

Mrs. Rose Marie Shelton, age 77 of Bakersfield, California, formerly of Trion, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025 in Bakersfield, California.

Mrs. Shelton was born in Trion, Georgia on April 24, 1948, daughter of the late Ray Littleton Perkins, Jr. and Marie Dentmon Perkins. She was a retired nurse and had been living in Bakersfield for the last year.

Mrs. Shelton is survived by two sons, Bryan Shaw and Christopher Shelton; sister, Jeannie Perkins, niece, Valeri; seven grandchildren; and a number of additional extended family members and friends.

Funeral Service for Mrs. Shelton will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with her son, Bryan officiating. Private Interment will be in the West Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Elsie Jean Gregory, age 86 of Lyerly, Georgia passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025 in a Chattanooga hospice facility.

Mrs. Gregory was born in Young Harris, Georgia on January 3, 1939, daughter of the late James Oliver Nichols and Ida Powell Ledford. She was an avid animal lover and enjoyed sewing, gardening and painting.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gregory was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon G. Gregory; brothers, Vic Nichols, Leroy Nichols, Paul Nichols, Carlton (Cark) Nichols and Dickson Nichols.

Mrs. Gregory is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Randy Keith; brothers, Doug Nichols and Dan Nichols; grandchildren, Jack and Cathy Nelms and Casey Nelms; great grandchildren, Emma Nelms, Rylee Nelms and Jack Nelms; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Charles Patrick Tucker, age 45 of Menlo, Georgia passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 28, 2025 at his residence.

Patrick was born in Ft. Oglethorpe, Georgia on November 5, 1980, son of the late Charles Jerome Tucker and Helen Whiteside Tucker. He was employed in the construction industry and enjoyed woodworking, remodeling and anything that he could use his hands to make.

Patrick is survived by a son, CJ Tucker; sisters and brother-in-law, Susan and Corey Perry and Stacey Neal; and a number of nieces and nephews.

According to Patrick’s wishes, he will be cremated and the family will have a private memorial service at a later date.

John Benjamin Cullens of Menlo, GA died Sunday, November 30, 2025 at his home.

John was born in Vidalia, GA on May 15, 1941 to JR “Jake” and Mary Cullens. He graduated from Castle Heights Military Academy and the University of Georgia where he was a letterman in swimming. In 1962, John joined the Coast Guard, and was stationed in several exotic locations including Hawaii, Japan, Alaska, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, and…New Jersey. John was blessed to obtain his dream job of pilot and commanded C-130 rescue missions, retiring in 1979 with the rank of Lieutenant. After his military service, John held several leadership roles in companies, service organizations and churches. He retired from the Georgia Department of Revenue. John was member of the Menlo Presbyterian Church, where he was an ordained Elder.

John was an active Master Mason and a member of Amity Lodge #731 in Watkinsville and Mt Vernon Lodge #22 in Athens. He was also a member of Athens Chapter No. 268 Order of the Eastern Star and Nancy Hart Chapter No. 398, Order of the Eastern Star in Carnesville. He held many offices in the Eastern Star including Grand Drill Director and Worthy Grand Patron.

John is preceded in death by his parents JR “Jake” and Mary, his first wife Jacquetta “Jacki”, and his brother-in-law Robert.

John is survived by his wife Winnie; his children John (Nicole) and Jake (Anne); his stepchildren Lori (Keith) and Ryan (Amanda); his grandchildren Shelbi (Billy), Darcy (Philip), Ashley, Sara, Katy, and their mother Tracy; Aimee and Scott; Emerson; Thea; his siblings Joe (Harriet) and Mary Ann; and his niece, nephews, great niece, and great nephews.

The visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Coffman Funeral Home, 12855 US-27, Summerville, GA 30747. The funeral service will be immediately following the visitation at 2:30 p.m. The funeral officiant will be Pastor Greg Cater.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Masonic Home of Georgia in Macon, GA.
