Celebrating BIG birthday milestone for Rory & -our 40th and 50th! That’s 90 candles! Whew!!! Feeling so full of gratitude today — thank you to our amazing team, sweet patients, and thoughtful families for all the birthday love! Each birthday celebrated is a gift in itself, but your kind words, notes, and surprises have made it feel extra special.
As I reflect on this milestone, I can’t help but think about how much pediatric dentistry has taught me over the years — not just about teeth, but about life. Here are three lessons that continue to shape how I practice and live:
1. Patience builds trust. Whether it’s a nervous toddler or a worried parent, meeting people where they are (not where we wish they were) makes all the difference.
2. Laughter truly is medicine. A silly joke, a bubble wand, a high five — joy is powerful. Never underestimate the healing power of fun.
3. Every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and celebrated. And not just in the chair — but in life. That belief has been my North Star from day one.
Thank you all for being part of this journey — I’m beyond lucky to do what I love every day, surrounded by such incredible people. Here’s to the next chapter (with a little more stretching and a lot of gratitude)! 🥳🦷💙
