Dr. Stano brings his expertise and passion for patient-centered care to our growing team. He is a board-certified physician in both internal medicine and rheumatology, with extensive clinical experience managing a wide range of complex autoimmune and inflammatory conditions.

Dr. Stano earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and went on to complete both his internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowship at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Stano as we continue to expand access to high-quality rheumatologic care across the Upstate region.

🌟 We’re excited to welcome Catherine Hanneman, PA-C to Augusta Arthritis Center! 🌟

Originally from Evans, Georgia, Catherine earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Georgia before serving her community as an EMT in North Fulton County. She returned to Augusta in 2021 to pursue her Master of Physician Assistant degree at Augusta University, graduating in 2023. Catherine is nationally certified under the NCCPA and licensed to practice in both Georgia and South Carolina. 🩺📚

Her passion for rheumatology grew during her clinical training, where she discovered the power of long-term care and meaningful patient relationships. Catherine is dedicated to educating and empowering her patients, helping them navigate their care with confidence and clarity. She finds the most fulfillment in watching her patients’ quality of life improve over time.

When she’s not in the clinic, Catherine enjoys traveling with her husband, hiking, camping, exercising, playing sports, thrifting, reading—and spending time with her family, church community, and her orange tabby cat, Piper. 🐱⛰️📖
