🌟 Resident of the Month: Bessie 🌟
Meet Bessie, our October Resident of the Month! 🎉 Born on October 12, 1937, in Camden, SC, Bessie has always been surrounded by family and love—her great-nephews affectionately call her and her brother Jerry “Nana and Papa.” ❤️
Known for her warm personality and signature smile, you can often find Bessie at the Wildcat front desk, greeting friends and visitors alike with her welcoming charm.
Bessie’s career began in 1958 at a Manhattan shirt factory, followed by over 30 years with Charleston’s Welfare Department, where she made lifelong friendships and left a lasting impact. 💼
Outside of work, Bessie spent decades enjoying square and ballroom dancing with her brother Jerry, attending Broadway shows, sporting events, and creating countless joyful memories. She also loves reading, cross-stitching, and indulging in Southern comfort food—fried chicken being a favorite! 🍗 And of course, Christmas has always held a special place in her heart. 🎄
Bessie’s lighthearted and adventurous spirit keeps everyone smiling—especially our Wellness Director, Adam, who can always count on her playful pranks! 😉 Her humor, kindness, and zest for life brighten every room she enters, making her a true gem of the Wildcat community.
