💙 Turning Gratitude into Action 💙

This summer, a patient came to Overlook Medical Center after experiencing a stroke and spent several days in our new Neuro ICU. During that time, her husband witnessed firsthand the compassion and professionalism of our nursing team.

Moved by the exceptional care provided, they made a Gift of Gratitude to honor the nurse who went above and beyond - bringing comfort, reassurance, and positivity during a stressful experience.

Yesterday, we proudly presented a Gift of Gratitude Award to that nurse, celebrating the dedication that transforms moments of uncertainty into experiences of hope and healing.

Thank you to all who choose to honor caregivers through generosity. Your support makes these moments possible!

🌟 Honoring Excellence! 🌟 Last week, we had the privilege of presenting a Gift of Gratitude to Overlook’s incredible Emergency Department team! This special recognition came from an anonymous donor who received care in the ED twice this year and wanted to express heartfelt thanks for the exceptional care they experienced.

One moment can change everything. 💗

For Karen, that moment came during a breast cancer fundraising walk—when she realized it was time to schedule the mammogram she’d been putting off. That decision saved her life.

Today, Karen is cancer-free—and filled with gratitude for the care she received at The Stacy Goldstein Breast Center at Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center.

September was filled with connection, gratitude, and celebration at Overlook Foundation.

On September 15, Atlantic Health’s new CEO Saad Ehtisham joined us at Hudson Farm to kick off our 5th Annual Sporting Clays Shoot with a cannon pull. This event brought supporters together for a day of camaraderie and friendly competition — all in support of Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center.

Next, we hosted our “Because of You” donor appreciation event on September 17 — a special evening dedicated to thanking our donors and showing the incredible impact their generosity makes across Overlook. ✨

And to round out the month, we were honored to host the Kevin E. Bell, M.D. Critical Care Unit Dedication and unveil the donor wall that honors those whose lives were touched by Dr. Bell over the past five decades. 💛

As a 501(c)(3) charity, the Overlook Foundation raises funds for state-of-the-art equipment, facilities and programs that help Overlook Medical Center remain a leading provider of medical care. Contributions to Overlook are tax-deductible and remain “at home” to serve the needs of the greater Summit-area communities.

Becoming a “Friend of Overlook Medical Center” with an annual gift of $100 or more.

Designating your gift for a specific project or allowing the Foundation’s Board of Trustees to determine the most needed application of your donation.
