We have been living on this land for almost a year now. (🤯)

In that time I have come to love seeing this landscape in all her moods and iterations.

• Quiet, still and snow filled mornings
• Crisp, vibrant and sparkling with dew
• Clouded with the rich smell of rain on dust
• Sun streaming through titanic clouds scattered across vast skies

These mountains speak through the seasons and being a part of that dialogue is so cool! Slowing down enough to hear what this place has to say has been something I look forward to sharing with all of our guests to come.

We are (clearly) VERY, very bad at keeping up with the social media updating, so here's a photo of a little nope-rope that we found hanging out with us during this weekend's Community Campout 🥹

Something about living out in nature is that you never know what you're gonna find.

Usually, what we do find are cute and photo-worthy things. I intend for it to stay that way 😅 though there has been plenty of stuff pop up that we were definitely not trying to immortalize in photos 😂 we will save those things for therapy.

Mmmm, I'm so grateful for the monsoon-season weather we've had for the last couple of days out here 😌

With not having air conditioning in the cabin, it has been getting up to 93° in here daily 🥵 we've been retreating to the Deva Dome a good amount, because it stays so nice and cool in there, thank lawd.

Anyways, with how hot it has been, this little patch of stormy-windy-coldy has been super nice. I just wore a jacket to go run an errand and I felt so cozy and at peace 🤣

And we seriously need the water, so I'm sure/I hope that the land is just getting her fill right now.

P.S.
I saw red lightning 3 times this evening. I've never seen that before, so I'm going to file it away in my 'pocalypse diary for now, just in case ☕️🐸

This. Is. HA-YUGE! (Huge)

We seem to live in a state of awestruck wonder when it comes to the support that we receive on this land. People are constantly volunteering their hands and legs and eyes and tools and machinery...it just really floors me.

💬 "I want to contribute to what you're doing here."

💬 "I want to be a part of this place's success."

💬 "You're creating something so beautiful for our community, why wouldn't I want to help?"

💬 "Coming here has been so healing and amazing for our family."

💬 "Please let me help out here, I'd love to support you both."

💬 "Our community needs this so much, how can we support and help you develop?"

Literally every single time we have an event or just tell people about what we are creating here, we receive these types of responses. It's incredible. Oftentimes, it even feels overwhelming.

This weekend's campout was no different. And even though I actually planned on skipping the "volunteer hours" because of how hot it has been, people STILL showed up to pitch in!

🤯 LOOK AT THIS GREENHOUSE, y'all. You remember the horrific photo I shared at the end of the year, wondering how we'd even attack it and get it cleaned out in any reasonable amount of time?

😯 Well, one friend that showed up to lend a helping hand - who actually, basically demanded to be able to work on the land 🤣 - absolutely exceeded any expectations that we had with this. I told him we were hoping to have the greenhouse completely gutted by the end of the year, and he basically told me to hold his drink, and finished the project in a matter of hours.

✅️ Weeds cleared
✅️ Thistle removed
✅️ Trash cleaned out
✅️ Old irrigation hosing removed
✅️ Ripped up tarp detached
✅️ New tools discovered
✅️ Tarps laid to kill off anything left

I am just absolutely astonished, so fu***ng grateful, and cannot wait for next planting season so that we can get things going in here.

🫂 Chris Zollinger: Thank you SOOOOOO much. We cannot stop talking about you and how much you just changed our world. One day of work might not have seemed like a big deal to you, but seriously this was months of work for us.

We are one week into the month of July, and goodness does this month have a LOT of energies circulating! Here is Etheric's Astronomical Astrology forecast for the week of July 7th-13th:

👨🏽‍🏫 First, tracing the Moon’s orbit throughout the week and how that impacts us internally and emotionally:

🌛 The week starts off with us feeling a bit reserved, internal, observant, even secretive, with the Moon being in the Scorpius constellation. There may be a desire to connect intimately and physically with others, but will there be follow-through?

🌛 Moving through Ophiuchus, the Moon pulls us deeper into internal processes and offers revelation regarding things that need to be tended to, healed, nurtured.

🌛 Midweek, the Moon moves into Sagittarius and we have a Full Moon here, which pulls us into a more fun-focused, adventurous, playful state – be careful of being emotionally avoidant here.

🌛 In Capricorn later in the week, the Moon refocuses, getting clear on projects, goals, and work that needs to get done.

🌛 The week closes out with the Moon in Aquarius through the weekend, pulling us into a sociable, community-minded vibration.

👨🏽‍🏫 Next, some large key points for the week’s other planetary transits:

🪐 Saturn goes into retrograde orbit on Friday, in the Pisces constellation. It will stay retrograde through November 27th. When Saturn retrogrades, we can experience a slowing down with business, projects, and goals that we have set. This period of time can feel limiting. It draws our vision into a tunnel, and says, “This is what you’ll focus on.” It can be easy to fight this, and to try to force things outside of the tunnel to work or move or progress, but that is a futile effort and will only expend energy unnecessarily. In Pisces, Saturn’s retrograde orbit asks us to be practical and pragmatic with pursuing our dreams, and to release the tendency to live in fantasy more than reality.

☄️ Juno – the asteroid that represents fidelity, commitment, and more – comes out of retrograde orbit on Wednesday the 9th. In retrograde since March 18th, Juno has been highlighting lots of relational strife. For partnered peoples and anyone in any sort of highly committed relationship, the last few months have been presenting the question: “Do I want to stay in this? Is this relationship for me – for us? Am I going to stay committed to this? Does this partnership enrich both/all of us?”

☄️ As Juno exits retrograde, there is a large focus on personal sovereignty, revealing that the introspection Juno is asking us to take seriously comes with the question, “Am I able to be myself, or is there an element of control here that limits my authentic expression?”

☄️ Also, Juno enters regular transit in a challenging aspect to the asteroid Hygeia, which talks to us about personal health and hygiene – both energetic and physical. Are the relationships in question *clean* - or are they making us sick?

🤓 This week is interesting, because it offers us much-needed relief and a page-turn when it comes to partnered relationships, but it also leads into a very specific story that plays out over the rest of the year with Saturn. The next almost 6 months will really lock us into a specific set of focus points, projects, and opportunities, and will require elbow grease to get them moving.

🥳 Our next COMMUNITY CAMPOUT takes place NEXT WEEKEND!

🌞 With the Summertime in full swing, the energy of recess and play is effervescent! With a sincere desire to make this lovely land a place for awesome people to come together and connect, we are hosting these community gatherings as an offering to those that feel the call to get connected, break bread, and just enjoy each others’ company for a weekend.

💃🏽 As a special treat, for this Campout we have our DJ friend Jonathan Kline coming up from St. George on Saturday evening to provide us with an awesome Ecstatic Dance set!

🏕 Who doesn’t love a good sleepover?! In the spirit of feeling like carefree kids again, we invite everyone to spend the night on our property! This means that you can bring a tent and camp out, bring a truck/car to sleep in, or you can bring a sleeping pad and blankets to setup a cozy space for yourself in our Deva Dome – the space in which we hold sacred ceremonies.

Let us know if youd like the official invitation link so that you can read over all of the details and come prepared for a good time 🥰

***This is not a facilitated event, and we do not charge a fee for these campouts. We simply host them so that awesome people can come together and enjoy each other's company 🤗

All setup for a full house, Lucid Lotus begins in 30 minutes! This will probably be one of the last couple of times that we will need to have a fire going in here, as well. Warmer days are here, but the nights are still catching up.

Grateful to have Blue Lotus here to calm our nervous systems, soothe our pains, and slow down our minds.

The sunsets are looking a lot different here with Spring in (mostly) full bloom 🥰

The land is vibrant and green again, tons of little wildflowers are blooming, and the days are long with the sun setting between 8:30 and 9:00pm 😌

Basking in it.

⚠️ caution ⚠️
Graphic content on the last photo.

That is our green house (edit to add: in the *last* photo is our greenhouse, the other photos are from the farm mentioned below)… after years of enduring the elements without care. Overgrown with monstrous thistle and derelict in almost every way. It’s spooky in there. Very apocalyptic… ☠️

I’ve been told stories of the fertile, fruitful abode the greenhouse once was but I didn’t believe it. How?? Were they eating shrubs? Because that’s about all I’ve seen growing around here… I didn’t believe that this high-desert soil could support a variety of edible yums.

And then I saw 👩🏻‍🌾
They are a local CSA (community sponsored agriculture). Not only do they provide this community with amazing organic food, they do so on this red sandy dirt.
It frankly blew my mind 🤯

So I got a job there, in order to learn their wholesome secrets. 🥷
Well I quickly learned there are no secrets at Red Acre Farm. They love to teach and host workshops and courses to support local farmers (can I get an Amen?). Yesterday I took a drip irrigation workshop and learned so much that would’ve been a huge source of headache had I tried to learn myself.

While we are starting over with this iteration of our greenhouse, it doesn’t feel like we are doing it alone. Generations of farmers have led the way and some amazing champions continue to cary the torch forward on behalf of all of us.

This knowledge is ancient. Sure the methods may be new(ish) but tuning into the land, bowing to it (literally countless times a day as you bend down to tend to the plants) and learning from it is what got us here. It’s a beautiful process to be in connection with- the cyclical, seasonal patterns of fostering new life, serving community and stewarding land.

God bless our mindful farmers.

If you ever come to Deva Haven and *don't* get to experience incredible musical offerings, something's wrong and you should immediately call someone for help 😉 music is a spiritual practice for us.

Here we have Tosha Carter sharing a late-night lullaby prayer to Oshun, the Yoruba orisha (deity) of the waters, love, fertility, and beauty 👩🏿‍🦳

We are so grateful for Tosha's presence with her beautiful family at our Community Campout this past weekend. There are just some people that you *know* belong in your life, and they are exactly that. Please come back sooooo soon! 🥰
