Thank you, Red Canoe Credit Union, Sumner-Bonney Lake Education Foundation, Creator Lutheran Church, Rotary Club of Sumner and other wonderful donors for “Filling the Canoe!” Our friends from the Lake Tapps branch of Red Canoe presented SBLEF President Erin LaVerdiere with a check for $10,674 to benefit our local students experiencing basic needs as they return to school!

Build Bridges to your child's success! At the upcoming Sumner-Bonney Lake School District's free Building Bridges event on May 8, families can choose three 20-minute parent learning sessions on the following topics:

-Strategies to improve fluency
-Tips for reading foundation skills
-Supporting students in math
-Preventing the “Summer Slide”
-What is Highly Capable?
-FAQ: Neuro-divergent learners
-Bullying prevention
-Anxious Generation: Impact of smartphones
-5th grade puberty and HIV video preview
