Hope everyone is having a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, enjoying family time and good food! The flu has hit Sumter, as many of you have had first hand experience with! I still recommend getting that Flu vaccine, we should see waves of outbreaks through February at least!
We also want to share some impressive accomplishments amoung our family of our patients!
Mitchell Henderson just signed on for a “Fishing scholarship” to college. We are so proud of him!

Happy Halloween
Tonight is "trick or treat" night. So much fun for everyone! All the kids dressed up in costumes, all the porches decorated. Whether you go door to door in your neighborhood, to your church or school, enjoy the time with family and friends. The kids grow up so fast, before you know it they will be trick or treating with there own children.
We love to see everyone's costumes! Post them here and we'll share them! The girls came up with great costumes at the office. Here's a picture of the ostriches with their handler!

Monday is Memorial Day, a day when we remember all of our fallen soldiers. We as a military community, are especially impacted by our family and friends who have suffered in a loss of a loved one who died for our country. Please keep all of these heroes in your thoughts and prayers on Memorial Day and every day.
The office will be closed on Monday but will be back open on Tuesday to take care of all your children's needs.

Summer is almost here! Seniors are getting ready to be sent off to college, families are planning vacations and summer camps. It is a time to get together and enjoy what the world has to offer! Lakes, mountains and islands if you're lucky! Weddings are also big in these warmer months and we are excited about one coming up in our family. Our youngest boy is getting married, and in Bermuda! That means I will be on vacation for the first time since opening for a week next week! The office will remain open and the girls can take care of anything you need.
We are also so blessed to have Dr Whitney Moses-Presbylis helping out in the office in the mornings to take care of any illnesses that come up. Many of you know her already and I'm sure everyone will love having her here next week.
Dont forget to get immunizations done for your senior prior to starting college. Protection against meningitis for this age is important!

Christmas is right around the corner. I hope everyone will have a wonderful holiday! During the craziness of the season take time to remember what we are celebrating on this day.
Bring your family and friends close and cherish the gift of time together. I hope everyone has a safe and healthy holiday season.
I am so happy to have my staff spending time with their loved ones and have my own family coming home for the holiday this year. As usual, we will close at 1 pm on Christmas Eve, and this year, with Christmas being on Wednesday, we will also be closed Thursday. We are back in the office Friday. As always, I'm available via phone and text. Have blessed, merry Christmas!

Hope everyone had a great Halloween! The pictures are coming in and I love them!
Unfortunately, today is Brittany Floyd's last day at our office. She has been with us for 8 years and will be dearly missed. She is needing to be home with her special needs child and we certainly understand that! We wish her well.
Currently we are trying to fill those shoes, so shout out to us if you know anyone out there.
Nurse Brittany, Liza and I will be holding down the fort until then so you shouldn't see any changes around here...we have Brittany's number on speed dial!

4th of July is Thursday! Enjoy time with your family and celebrate the independence of our country!
The fireworks are so much fun to watch! Be safe with them, especially when set off near the kids, of all ages! Burns and other injuries from lighting fireworks is, unfortunately, a frequent occurrence this time of year.
Water safety should be high on your priority list during the summer too! Keep floatation devices on the children when around water. It only takes a second for them to decide to jump on in! Dont forget the nose plugs! Avoid jumping into stagnant shallow water in lakes and ponds. Keep the cannon balls for deep water and pools. And of course, sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen!
There is so much to do with your family during the Fourth of July holiday! Treasure every memory you make!
To allow our staff to have that time with family and friends, we will be closed on Thursday and Friday this week but, as always, will be available by phone to take care of anything that comes up!

Summer's here and everyone is enjoying being able to enjoy all the fun outdoors! This weekend is one filled with remembering and celebrating the millions of people who have given so much to allow us to live and enjoy the liberties of our country!
"It's impossible to repay a veteran who gave their life in the service of our country, nor is it possible to fill the void left in the veteran's family.
Every veteran has lost friends and/or family members, either in peacetime accidents or in combat, as have many civilians. Memorial Day is set aside to remember and honor these courageous men and women!"
In honor of these great Americans, we will be closed on Monday.

Spring is here and so is the pollen, but it's the price we pay for all the blooming plants that are so gorgeous this time of the year! Keep antihistamines in stock to help all those runny noses but let me know if things are getting beyond what they can take care of!
I hope you all have a great Easter/Spring Break and enjoy family time. It's so fun to watch the little ones look for those Easter eggs!
We will be closed on Good Friday, as we usually are, but if there is anything you need, I am always available.
