Last week we celebrated our final baby shower of the year. And what a joy it was to see all our ladies showered with love and gifts! We are so proud of them for completing our pregnancy and newborn program. We are confident that they are all going to be great moms! Way to go ladies!

2025 has been a year filled with success stories, new life, and joyful visits. We have big plans for 2026, so stay tuned for more!

We are approaching the finish line for our Fall/Winter Diaper Drive 2025 ... Raffle winner will be drawn end of the week. Thanks to all who have donated. This week’s intern spotlight is highlighting our wonderful new intern, Courtney Bell. She has been such a huge help and has a knack for organization. She loves to keep our baby boutique neatly organized and sort through donations. She also has a kind heart and loves to serve our clients. Tomorrow is her birthday and we look forward to celebrating her. Thanks for all you do Courtney! We are so grateful for you!

Referring to our most recent baby shower Courtney had this to say:

“The most meaningful experience for me was seeing how happy the mothers and families were. It was so nice to see everyone come together and celebrate, especially seeing the new babies. It made me feel proud to be part of something so special.”

We have started our second diaper drive of 2025! With your help our spring diaper drive was a success. We have been able to provide our client's with nearly 9,000 diapers just this year!
Did you know that the cost for diapers for one child can exceed $100 per month? Parents who receive financial assistance to feed their families still have to bear the full burden of purchasing diapers for their youngest children.

Please consider acquiring a diaper donation set up from our center (see flyer below), donating diapers, or making a financial contribution at

This week we are highlighting one of our interns (Central Carolina Technical College), Abigail Browder. She is a big help and has a bright, joyful disposition.

"My activities for this week were quite simple, yet meaningful. I have been able to do so much work (learning) on a program called Bright Course (our curriculum here). This program gives you the materials and knowledge needed to effectively work with clients in a pregnancy center. I have earned close to three certificates and am starting to feel a sense of understanding what it takes to be a helping hand to those in need."

"My most meaningful experience this week was seeing one of the clients come in with her newborn baby. I mentioned in the last report I gave that she was going to be induced that week. Even in pain before labor and with a week-old newborn baby, she still showed up to class. Her determination and dedication speak volumes for her as a parent and that is very fulfilling to witness."

Thanks for being such a hard worker and positive light to staffers, clients, and students alike Abby! You are going to do great things in your career ahead as you are doing great work here.

Hello Sumter Families! We are so very thankful for the Mommas who have attended our classes, for the wonderful sponsors and hosts of our baby showers, and for the wonderful sumter community for all the donations we have received throught the year. Your donations keep us going and greatly help your community.

And this time, we are looking for Mommas who are due in the December/January timeframe. 🍂
