Avista Sun City West is a dedicated Memory Care community serving the residents of Sun City West and its surrounding areas. Our three separate cottages have 16 apartments each, giving them a smaller neighborhood feel with more personal care. With activity rooms, outdoor pathways, and amazing dining and living spaces, every day is a new adventure!

Celebrating the incredible mothers of Avista Sun City West with an afternoon full of tea, treats, laughter, and love 💐🫖✨

Our Mother’s Day Tea Party was a beautiful time to honor the women who have shared their wisdom, strength, kindness, and unconditional love with so many throughout their lives. From sweet conversations to special memories shared together, it was truly a day to cherish.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration so meaningful for our amazing residents and families. Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures we are so lucky to know 💕

Today at Avista, we celebrated a Cinco de Mayo full of joy, laughter, and moments that will live on in our hearts. From the smiles sparked by a miniature donkey parade, to the sweetness of churro and taco-inspired cupcakes, to the music that had everyone clapping along—every detail became part of a memory worth holding onto.

A heartfelt thank you to Oasis Senior Living Advisors, Suncrest Hospice, and Randolph Murray Jr. for helping create such a meaningful experience. A special shoutout to Dana, one of our incredible resident family members, whose volunteer spirit brings so much beauty and heart to our community through decorations and helping hands whenever needed.

Stepping up for our community 👟✨

Some of our Avista leadership team had the honor of volunteering with the Share the Spirit Foundation, helping provide new shoes to local elementary students. From picking out the perfect fit to finding styles that matched each child’s personality, it was all about making them feel confident, comfortable, and seen.

Small moments, big impact—and a reminder that something as simple as a new pair of shoes can go a long way. 💛

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Judy brings sunshine wherever she goes! A true social butterfly, she spent her career in sales at the LA Times, where her outgoing personality and gift for connection truly shined.

Judy loves relaxing with her favorite game shows and has a special place in her heart for animals of all kinds. Whether she’s sharing stories, making new friends, or cheering on contestants from her chair, Judy fills our community with joy every day.

A proud mom, grandmother, and loyal friend, Vickie is known for her warm hugs and active spirit. You’ll find her front and center at activities—especially if basketball is involved! 💛

After 40 + years of service, John was given the opportunity to experience something he had only ever dreamed of — a flight on a World War II plane.

To witness that moment… the emotion in his eyes, the pride in his heart, and the quiet reflection of a life dedicated to serving others — it’s something words can hardly capture.

This wasn’t just a flight. It was a tribute. A thank you. A full-circle moment honoring the sacrifices, the commitment, and the legacy Jon carries with him every single day.

Today, we didn’t just celebrate John — we honored all veterans who have given so much of themselves so that we can live freely.

Moments like these remind us how important it is to recognize and uplift the heroes among us while we still can. ❤️

Thank you, John, for your service, your strength, and your story. It was an honor to be part of something so meaningful

An afternoon filled with music that brought back memories, laughter shared between friends who feel like family, and sweet treats that made the day even brighter. Watching our residents light up as DJ Cowboy played their favorite songs reminded us that joy truly lives in these moments.
