🧠 Most people think strokes happen without warning.
But sometimes, the warning signs are already there.

Blocked or narrowed carotid arteries can reduce blood flow to the brain and significantly increase stroke risk. A procedure called a carotid endarterectomy can help restore healthy blood flow and lower that risk before a stroke happens.

Symptoms are not always obvious, which is why early evaluation matters.

Our latest blog explains how carotid endarterectomy works, who may need it, and how it can help protect long-term vascular health.

If you have concerns about circulation, stroke risk, or carotid artery disease, Pinnacle Vein and Vascular Center is here to help.

The carotid arteries are two important blood vessels in your neck. They carry blood to your brain. Over time, these arteries can become narrowed by a buildup of plaque. This condition is called carotid artery disease and it can increase the risk of stroke. When plaque builds up, it can reduce blood....

Your legs might be trying to tell you something.

Varicose veins are more than just visible changes. They can be a sign your circulation is not working as efficiently as it should.

Watch for these common signs:
• Bulging or visible veins
• Leg pain or heaviness
• Swelling in the lower legs

Catching these symptoms early can make a big difference. Many vein conditions are treatable, especially when addressed sooner rather than later.

At Pinnacle Vein and Vascular Center, our specialists focus on improving circulation and helping you feel your best with advanced, minimally invasive care.

🛏️ Did you know the way you sleep could be affecting your circulation?

Most people think about diet and exercise when it comes to vein health… but your sleep position plays a role too.

Certain positions can make it easier for blood to flow, while others may contribute to pressure, swelling, or discomfort in your legs. Over time, those small nightly habits can add up.

If you ever wake up with heavy, tired, or swollen legs, your sleep position might be part of the reason.

💡 Learn which positions support better circulation and which ones to avoid:

Why are your legs so itchy… even when your skin looks fine?

Itchy skin on your legs is easy to brush off. Dry air, allergies, maybe just irritation… right?

But sometimes, that persistent itching is not coming from your skin at all. It could be related to what is happening underneath the surface with your circulation.

When veins are not working properly, pressure can build up and lead to symptoms like itching, swelling, and skin changes. Many people do not realize their “skin issue” may actually be a vein issue.

If the itching keeps coming back or does not improve, it might be time to look a little deeper.

💡 Learn what could really be causing itchy legs:

Itchy skin on your legs can be uncomfortable and frustrating. Many people think it is just dry skin, but sometimes it can be related to circulation or vein health. Your skin depends on good blood flow to stay healthy. When circulation is not working as well, your skin may become dry, irritated, or i...

☀️ April in Arizona… already feeling like summer?

With temperatures heating up earlier than usual, it’s more important than ever to stay mindful of your body, especially your legs. Heat can cause veins to expand, which may lead to increased swelling, heaviness, or discomfort.

If you’ve noticed your legs feeling more tired or swollen lately, the warmer weather could be playing a role. Staying hydrated, keeping your legs moving, and avoiding long periods of sitting or standing can help support healthy circulation.

Arizona heat is no joke, even in April. Take care of your legs as the temperatures rise.

Most people wait until their legs hurt to pay attention.

But your veins usually give you signs before that.

Subtle ones. Easy to ignore ones.

Like:
• Legs that feel tired earlier in the day
• Ankles that are discolored or hot
• A heaviness you cannot quite explain
• Veins that seem a little more visible than before

These are not random.
They are early signals that your circulation may not be working as efficiently as it should.

The good news is that many vein conditions are highly treatable, especially when caught early.

Listening to your body now can make a big difference later.
