Congratulations to Jacob and Dan, who participated in the annual Culinary Olympics against 8 other Great Lakes Division campuses and took home Bronze! Contestants were judged on Presentation, Taste, and Creativity - especially for incorporation of the secret ingredient, which was black tea this year. In 1 hour, our Sun Prairie chefs made: Black tea infused Peruvian chicken smothered in portobella mushroom cream sauce, parmesan encrusted zucchini and summer squash, cilantro lemon rice peppered with aji verde, and a final touch of parmesan crisp to top it all off!

On Thursday, we hosted folks from Waunakee for our first-ever intercampus March Madness showdown between the Sun Prairie Groundhogs and the Waunakee Warriors. Final score was a tight 47-45 - congratulations to the Warriors for their win!

Spokepersons for the Groundhogs state that the team is looking forward to a chance to return the favor, so keep an eye out for future tournaments!

Winter Olympics, here we come! On Friday, we kicked off with the Parade of Nations, Torch Relay Race, and Winter Olympic & Italian Trivia at our Happy Hour event, featuring live music by the Prairie Strummers. Today, 21 different athletes competed for the top 3 medals in Curling! Stay tuned for more events this week!

Celebrating the power of music on a cold winter day with a Singalong led by Evangelyn and her daughter-in-law Kathy! Due to the frigid temps forecasted for Friday, we will be hosting our Peanut Butter Bonanza tomorrow, Thursday the 21st. All are welcome to join us for live music performed by Just Merl and A Girl, good eats, and plenty of great company!

Happy Holidays to all! On Christmas Day, residents received Christmas cards from Eastside Elementary students and opened gifts provided by kind-spirited volunteers, staff, and community members. We celebrate the great generosity in our community and look forward to a New Year of many happy memories!
