🎉 Big win for Beka + baby Briar! 💪💛

Born at just 34 weeks, this little fighter spent precious time in the NICU, where breastfeeding was tough and pumping became the main way Beka provided her milk.

Fast forward to today—at 3.5 months old, Briar is now exclusively breastfeeding! 🍼➡️🤱

It’s been a journey of patience, persistence, and SO much love. We’re beyond proud of this amazing duo. 💕

"My daughter and I have been working with Wisco Lactation for a few months and would recommend them a million times! We’ve worked with different consultants: Jasmine, Molly, and Beth, as well as with their OT, Julia. My daughter started our breastfeeding journey having to rely on a ni**le shield. Through Wisco’s advice, we were able to remove the shield through repositioning and strengthening exercises. My daughter, however, began to fall off of her growth curve and was pretty fussy. After examining her mouth, Jasmine and Beth suspected she may have tongue and lip ties, restricting her ability to pull milk out. They provided us with exercises we could do, suggested supplementing with pumped breastmilk, and gave us dentist recommendations. After it was confirmed by the dentist and we had the ties released, we continued to meet with Beth and began follow up work with Julia. My daughter is 6 1/2 weeks post-procedure and is thriving! She is back on a growth curve, is much happier in general, and breastfeeding is much more comfortable. We truthfully would have given up months ago had I not sought out the help of Wisco. The consultants and Julia are truly wonderful and their knowledge is invaluable!"

"I am only on my second session with Wisco Lactation, and I just wish I did it sooner. My twins are three months and we’ve been struggling a little bit with latch and weight gain. Upon my Lactation visit, we learned that the babes aren’t extremely efficient and there were some factors that played in that we’re not in favor for my babes. We are slowly, but surely working on the concerns, my babes are gaining weight and are happier than they ever have been.

On my first visit I also learned very quickly that I have been using the wrong fl**ge size, I’ve been using the size 24 that was provided by my mom cozy pumps and I was sized I’m actually a 13! Since switching fl**ge size my milk production has increased a significant amount, and pumping is no longer dreadful and painful!!

I truly could not recommend Wisco Lactation enough."

"I first saw Alexiyah after I had three rounds of mastitis in a few weeks. 😫 She provided great, helpful and up to date information on mastitis protocols and helped me find why this kept happening. She helped fit me in a proper fl**ge size (chances are you are NOT the size that comes with your pump!!!!) We then saw her again after my son was refusing bottles. She helped us find a bottle that he would take. It was SO nice that they have bottles to try vs buying a bunch that might not work!! I cannot recommend Alexiyah in the Madison location enough!!"

This group is open to all families with infants or those that are expecting a baby. We will discuss topics related to infant feeding and answer questions that you have. This group exists with the intention of providing parent to parent emotional support and guidance for basic and general nursing and bottle feeding questions such as positioning, how to know if baby is getting enough, introducing solid foods, etc. This is not a clinical space and does not replace the care of your doctor, baby's doctor, IBCLC or other healthcare provider.
