Running a small business means wearing all the hats — buyer, maker, cleaner, marketer, cashier, and sometimes caregiver too.

I want to gently share something that’s been heavy on my heart.

When a business receives a one-star review for things outside of its control — supplier backorders, holiday closures, family emergencies, or caring for loved ones — it can hurt more than people realize.
This shop is run by one human.

I don’t have staff to cover when life happens.
I don’t have control over shipping delays, tariffs, or manufacturers being backordered during the holidays.

And sometimes, I have to close so I can take care of my child or support my family during big life transitions.

I do my best to communicate hours, closures, and availability — and I always try to help when I can, even if that means suggesting another option when I don’t carry a product.

Reviews matter. They affect visibility, trust, and whether a small shop survives — not just how it “looks” online.
