Spring is trying to arrive over here… and so are our new labels 😅🌿

Real life update: we ran into an issue with our label printing (rebranding isn’t always smooth behind the scenes), so the full spring collection isn’t quite ready yet.

BUT there's good news!
Our spring soaps + lip balms are here and smell so fresh, bright, and ready for the season.

The rest is coming as soon as we get those labels sorted (and yes, I promise they’ll be worth the wait).

Nature already did the hard work—we just keep it simple.

There’s so much pressure in the skincare world to do more, add more, complicate more. But the truth is, some of the most powerful ingredients have been around for generations, quietly doing exactly what they’re meant to do.

That’s where we start.

Every product I make is rooted in ingredients I trust, ones that don’t need a long list of extras to be effective. No unnecessary fillers, no trends for the sake of trends, just thoughtful combinations that support your skin the way nature intended.

Because taking care of your skin shouldn’t feel overwhelming. It should feel grounding, familiar… and a little bit like coming back to what’s always worked.

If you’ve ever felt unsure about what you’re putting on your body, you’re not alone, that question is what started this whole journey for me.

Hi, and Welcome! I’ve seen a lot of new faces here the past couple days, so I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself.

I’m Tara, the maker behind Shade Tree Naturals 🌿

This business started over 10 years ago when my son was little and I began learning more about the ingredients in everyday baby products, and realizing I didn’t feel good about using a lot of them on his skin. That moment really shifted things for me and set me on the path to creating safer, more thoughtful alternatives.

What began in my kitchen has grown into something I truly care about.

Everything you see here is made in small batches, by hand, in my studio. I use cold process method for soapmaking, which means every batch has its own personality… and I’m always learning something new, even after all these years.

At the heart of it, Shade Tree Naturals is about:
• simple, effective ingredients
• sustainability and thoughtful sourcing
• products you can feel good using every day
• and creating things with intention, not mass production (which also means less preservatives)

I also believe that what we put on our bodies matters, and that “natural” doesn’t have to mean boring or ineffective.
