It takes a village 🏡
This beautiful boy has been a regular on my schedule for 2 years. He is 27 and has a slew of "old horse" health issues. His owner is very dedicated and constantly asks what she can do to improve his quality of life.
Last winter, he dropped a significant amount of weight and really struggled to gain it back. Recently, she, the barn owner where she boards and I discussed his feed program and made some notable changes.
1st we took him off all soy based feed
2nd we added beet pulp and grass pellets to his diet
3rd we soaked it all
I could hardly believe the difference in such a short amount of time! This wouldnt be possible without a truly knowledgeable and willing barn owner, dedicated owner and the 3 of us coming together. He is happy, slick and shiny!
Not going to lie, the oldies are my favorite
