This is normal for anyone coming from a sedentary lifestyle.
Programs (and diets) need to be tailored per individual. There is no one size fits all. Don't buy into it.

I am committed because I value my health. I want more from life, and to show up, I need to be able to comfortably get up.

There is not one medical abstract that supports sedentarism.
Movement matters.

So many ask me about smoothies. It seems we all want a fast forward button to health. Any diet that drops weight quickly, taxes us metabolically.

Let's talk movement. Every partical of our physical being moves, from organelles within cells to our skin when we shiver.

Chewing food communicates with our stomach which then releases enzymes to aid in digestion. Chewing food helps maintain cognitive function, it benefits our teeth, the muscles in the face, our jaw bone, our gums, nerves and esophogus. We are designed to chew our food.

This is not to say that swallowing vitamins, minerals, and occasionally smoothies is negative; it is to say it is not the answer to health.

Many of the diseases of today are labeled diseases of convenience. Not only do we move less, but we have also lost our connection to this earth and, with that, a healthy relationship with food. We cook less and purchase more processed and packaged food. We are "over-fed and undernourished."

This is one way to guarantee that I get all the necessary plant compounds into my diet. I devote time twice a week to prep my vegetable intake; this bowl will get filled twice.

Four various greens, six additional veggies. Grab a handful, add nuts, fruit, a boiled egg, meat, or fish. You'll be doing yourself a favor.

Nice to see the food pyramid promoting health rather than the alternative.

Believe it or not, this is a health marker for longevity.
