The care I receive at this facility is fantastic! Everyone from Nursing, Nurse Aides, right down to Dietary, Housekeeping, and Laundry. I'm happy to report I get all my laundry returned to me promptly; not even a sock goes missing. I have worked as a nurse's aide for 23 years and in activities for 10 years. I have seen some really nice facilities and some less nice facilities. Sunbury is a really nice facility! I really, really like this place! I feel confident in the care I receive. All staff are polite and attentive. They answer my call bells timely. I also appreciate how staff knock on my door, announce themselves, requesting permission to come in, before actually entering my room. I've been in facilities where staff do not do this. Last but not least, therapy is great! They work hard to strengthen me, teaching me little tricks of the trade on how to get around safely. Pictured below is Faith with her Husband Phillip of Northumberland, PA. We are happy to announce Faith was discharged to home with her husband this past Friday. Faith graciously shared her patient experience. This was the first time Faith ever had an in-patient rehabilitation stay at a skilled nursing facility. Faith found it to be a positive experience overall. She voiced once she started feeling better and became more active in facility life, she met some great people. She stated, "Activities have been wonderful! Most of the staff in general are very bubbly and that ray of sunshine goes a long way!" "Physical therapy was fun too! They are good at keeping everyone's spirits high." Faith went on to discuss how she was able to accomplish some of her goals in therapy. She is now able to get out of bed to a chair and stand with assistance. One of her great accomplishments was being able to ride the pedal bike. Faith stated, "It was a good way to end my last therapy session!" Faith also shared how she felt second shift Nursing was good to her. She said, "They would get me all tucked into bed and made sure I was comfortable." Faith went on to explain how nights can be rough for her, due to pain related to her rheumatoid arthritis. When asked if she ever needed a rehab stay again would she trust Sunbury with her care? Her answer was an astounding "Yes!"

Amy is an excellent employee, and our residents receive exceptional care when she is working. She is always willing to pick up extra shifts and help out wherever she can. Amy has a perfect attendance and performance record, and we are very lucky to have her here at Sunbury Skilled Nursing and Rehab.

We are so thrilled to congratulations Mrs. Bonita Rhoads of Sunbury!!! Mrs. Rhoads returned home with her husband Thomas following a much needed rehab stay at Sunbury Skilled Nursing and Rehab.

Mrs. Rhoads shares her Patient Experience. "The staff at Sunbury were fantastic! They made me feel like they really cared. Physical and Occupational Therapy were great too! The therapists encouraged me and helped me to reach my ultimate goal of getting back home. I'm very happy to be going home, but I must say the overall experience at Sunbury was a positive one. I would definitely come back again if ever needed. Bonita's husband Mr. Rhoads joined in commenting, "It was nice to know I never had to worry about Bonita when I went home at the end of the night . Everyone was great and so was the care."
