Please join us in celebrating Josie, our Employee of the Month for April at Sunbury Skilled Nursing🥳

Josie goes above and beyond for her residents every day. In a truly heartfelt gesture, she purchased a speaker to play music for a resident who was often upset. Thanks to her kindness and creativity, that same resident is now happily singing through the halls instead of crying.

Here is another wonderful testimonial from a long term resident that we'd love to share with you!

My overall experience here has been great so far. To be honest from my heart, I enjoy all the activities offered. The food is pretty good too! I'm especially pleased with therapy for helping me walk again. That was a huge accomplishment for me! The nurses and staff are always so helpful. They treat me like a person, not just a number. My favorite staff member would have to be Amy the CNA. She works hard and takes time to answer any questions I may have. She doesn't wait, she solves the problem right away! I do love all the staff of course. I would absolutely recommend this facility to others!

You have an excellent therapy program here at Sunbury! I am a retired nurse and it's even impressive to me the things therapy does! That says a lot! I am very happy to report I am making enough progress in therapy and will be returning home with my husband. The best part of my experience is the convenience, being closer to my son and his family who live locally to complete my rehab. My husband and I are from Moosic which is approximately 2 hours away. My husband stayed with my son and his family, so they are all able to visit more frequently.

We are happy to share the latest testimonial received from a recent patient:

I was at another nursing home for short-term rehab and I was not happy. A friend of mine suggested I consider a nursing home transfer, once I told her how unhappy I was there. She told me of her recent rehab stay at Sunbury and it sounded great! After talking with her, I got the wheels in motion and worked out a nursing home transfer here to Sunbury. I am so glad that I did! Sunbury is 100% better! I feel seen and most importantly heard! I feel cared for!
