DECEMBER 30, 2011—December 30, 2013__ Two years with NO ANSWER on the Murder of Marvin Pognon, 22 years old!!!__ The Miami Beach Police Department still refused to release any information, event the Autopsy Report.__ Brothers and Sisters of FB, I am just asking you, in the memory of Marvin, to take a look at the VIDEO in this link and say what you think… Furthermore, the “officer” who committed the crime is still on duty and can be standing next to me, the father, since no name, no picture of him has been released.__ From what I learned, there is an unofficial/ defacto policy/ custom of the City of Miami Beach tolerating the use of excessive and deadly force by covering up and failing to discipline their officers.__ So They try to keep it quiet on the face and ears of the public as much as they can…
__ Again, all I can ask every one of you, is to share this link in FB as much as you can to help me keeping the story live and preventing concealment/ cover up… I will also appreciate anyone, with any information in relation to the case, to inbox me in order to move with confidentiality and secrecy…
I wish you all a Happy New Year 2014, health, love, joy, peace…

The family of a 22 year old club promoter rang in the New Year in tears. Relatives and friends of Marvin Pognon believe police unjustly shot him in South Beach early Friday morning.

Justice Department, FBI to probe Florida teen's death
Federal prosecutors and the FBI have opened an investigation into the killing of an unarmed teen by a neighborhood watch volunteer in Florida.

The death drew protesters Monday to the courthouse in Seminole County, north of Orlando, to demand justice for Trayvon Martin, the 17-year-old who was shot and killed last month while walking back to his father's fiancee's house in Sanford.

The African-American teen's parents said Monday that they believed race was a factor in their son's death, and the Congressional Black Caucus had called for a federal investigation, saying local police have shown "blatant disregard for justice."

Protesters upset about the shooting death of an unarmed Florida teen rallied outside a local courthouse Monday, demanding an arrest.

I’ am the father of MARVIN POGNON (one father, one son). More than two months have passed and no one, from the Miami Beach Police Department nor any related agency has ever contacted me. Like I ever exist or they don’t want me to exist since I’m the only one who is really hunting for the TRUTH and hungry for JUSTICE. Today, I happened to put some time surfing the internet on what, so far, have been told about the Assassination of my only son, MARVIN POGNON.
I came across the longest story ever wrote, on behalf of CBS TV Station after a short interview of D’Oench, on the day the crime occurred. Although, the next day, Ms. Tiffani Helberg, another CBS reporter had the longest interview ever, about the crime, at 50 Biscayne, in the apartment where MARVIN POGNON was living. It lasts about one hour fifteen minutes: interviewing one of the most important witnesses of the crime, Ms. Ashley Winfrey who confirmed that she was just as close as one millimeter away from MARVIN, he did not have a weapon at the time of the shooting and she did not hear anyone saying or asking to drop a weapon. Ms. Winfrey also confirmed she has been interrogated at the police department and she has told them the same story. Furthermore, I, Jean Cothel Pognon, the father of MARVIN POGNON, was there the whole time of the interview. As a matter of fact, later on, around 11:30pm December 31st, 2011, CBS has shown a couple spot where I said: “My son was assassinated, ex*****on type by that police officer”.
Today, I can explain why the Miami Beach Police is having people to build all type of stories to find excuses to cover their crime; but what I cannot understand is why the CBS did not bring to life, the words of that witness, Ashley Winfrey confirming several times that MARVIN POGNON did not have a weapon. Therefore, is it not fair to think and feel that the CBS itself is also playing the game of the Police Department, and simultaneous spawning confusion: saying a weapon has been found on the crime scene? Though, did they mention where…? In the car…? In the glove compartment… or did they brought it as they use to? Now we understand that our Media, the CBS, for some reason that we ignore, is not doing what they should do. If they do, they should write a story that is as long as the time (about 1 hour 15 minutes) they took for that interview at 50 Biscayne, on that December 31, 2011

A confrontation on Miami Beach has led to a deadly police involved shooting.

02/27/2012

The United States has growing problem with police abuse, brutality, and corruption. It is essential for people to record their encounters with police officers to ensure transparency, accountability, and safety to all of those involved.

Hello Everyone!

First of all, I have to say thank you to everyone that has being so supportive in this unique time of my life, where anything means something and doing nothing is questionable. Once again, in a world full of hate, it is a confirmation of tied and sincere brotherhood.

When we talk about brotherhood, it isn’t because we have been raised by the same Father, nor because we have been at the same school, nether because we do have the same roots, but because, taking on our duty with determination and firmness, we are standing up for a same cause, sharing a common and proud objective that is rooted to an altruism which should be embodied as the main purpose for living on earth. Indeed, MARVIN POGNON, my only son, has never been the son of Jean Cothel Pognon alone, but the Son of every father, every mother that had the chance to know him, to meet him; even thought, you didn’t have the opportunity to do so, MARVIN POGNON still remains the Son of this Earth, the Son of everyone, a Brother of this earth, the Brother of everyone. So, today, we are inviting the Haitian Community, the African Community, the African American Community, the Spanish Community, the American Community, the Asian, Indian, Russian … Community, the Facebook Community as a Whole and the People of this World to join us (Why MARVIN Was Killed?) on the name of MARVIN POGNON for the success and the triumph of the true, the Real TRUE, LOVE & RESPECT on earth…

This is what MARVIN POGNON was about; he has embodied and remains the Embodiment of Love, Respect, Prestige, Integrity, Courage, Determination, Persistence, Firmness, Wisdom…, the Virtues he had cultivated which has brought him to the edge of Perfection where he has “excelled” to a real Success at the age of 22.

We owe all our respect to president Obama for his State of Union speech. However, since his accession to the power, it seems that having a black president in United States was the only and ultimate objective of leaders like Abraham Lincoln, Malcolm X, Martin Luther King. Indeed, we don’t hear anymore protest against hate crime and/ or discrimination, no more complaints about police abuse or violence, like there is no more Human Right Watch, no more NAACP, Black Caucus… while those types of tragic events are happening every day, all over the country even though the number of crime or violence is rising up.

We can refer ourselves to a variety of violence during the Wall Street stand up. Furthermore, most of the deadly crimes in South Florida are made against minorities and more precisely targeting young black boys with bright future like MARVIN POGNON. Assassinated at 22years old, MARVIN POGNON was representing a whole generation, with proud, honesty, dynamism and vision for a better tomorrow. Unfortunately, in a time where “running the election“ is a priority, no one, any candidate, including the President won’t talk about individual human rights for every citizen. In his State Of Union speech he went around it, talking about national policy, treats from other countries: “We will advocate for those values that have served our country so well._ We will stand against violence and Intimidation._ We will stand for the rights and dignity of all Human Being”. Now, what can we do when American citizens become the victim of their own police forces, when the cops are killing our own children which represent the future of this country?_ Yes to repeat Monsignor Jean Pierre:” I had the opportunity to meet MARVIN POGNON once, he was about 10 years old and from the brightness of his eyes, the smile on his face, I could see this young boy has bright future ahead of him.” Although, 12 years later MARVIN POGNON will be assassinated while he was rising up to the next level.

Today, we still want to believe in these words of the President Obama:”The wave of change has washed across the Middle East… The forces of change cannot be reversed and human dignity cannot be denied” so that we’ll be forced to put the finishing touches to his statement by saying:”the Respect of Human Being and Justice cannot be trampled especially in United States”

HELLO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo !!!

Hello Everyone, Family and Friend

The year 2011 was a "killer year". I lost my father on January 10, 2011 and the 30 of December 2011, the worst of the worst happened to me as a FATHER. Yes, on that date I had the "gift of the year", the "gift of the century": " My son, my one and only son, MARVIN POGNON was assassinated by a police officer in South Beach Miami, Florida, shot to death (left on the ground for more than 20 minutes... and pass away...) Anyway the news is all over the Internet; you may Google his name, MARVIN POGNON (Video and also propaganda stories created by the shooter’s people). If you are in Facebook, you may go to my page “Jean Cothel Pognon” and send me an invite; you will see: the page that has been created by a Friend mine, Komite “Jistis Pou MARVIN POGNON” (Please “Like” and joint US on that page) what I wrote, his pix, Comments, etc. All we are looking for is the TRUE to be revealed and JUSTICE to be prevailed. So we need the SUPPORT of any kind, of everyone to keep the story alive until we get so. Yes, we are expecting the help of everyone: from the Haitian Community, the African American/ Canadian Community and the White, Yellow, Brown... Community as well.
We have come to the conclusion that the story of MARVIN POGNON, 22 years old, with the heart of a Baby and the soul of an Angel, is not only the affaire of a Family nor a Community/ a Country but it is, indeed, the affaire of the World as a Whole. What just happened to me had happened to others before, has recently happened to another Haitian Family in Pompano Beach, Florida just a week after MARVIN POGNON and may at any time happen to you if we don't Stick TOGETHER, Stand up TOGETHER, March TOGETHER and Express ourselves TOGETHER on the name of LOVE and RESPECT. In order to do so, we are working on a list of events and will keep you posted.

Attached is a picture of MARVIN POGNON

PLEASE !!! PASS IT ON !!!__ To your Whole Contact (the least you can help)

7/27/1989 – 12/30/2011

MARVIN POGNON was born on 7/27/1989 in Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, Florida. MARVIN POGNON is the son of Jean Cothel Pognon and the grand-son of Constant D. Pognon, a Teacher, Lawyer and Political Leader who spent his entire life promoting Justice and Democracy. Unfortunately, ironically, MARVIN POGNON has been assassinated, in South Beach, Florida, by a Miami Beach police officer.
MARVIN POGNON, after graduate from Michael Krop High School spent 2 years in college while he was involving in the music industry, becoming very successful in his early twenty’s, mixing with young artists like Sean Kingston and Prospectt, his best friend. MARVIN was, indeed, well known in Miami, even in Los Angeles, opening a small company, “Good Tymer$ Entertainment”, signing artists as a music producer. On the 30 of December 2011, The City of Miami Beach, the State of Florida committed the HOMICIDE of the year, shooting my ONLY son, MARVIN POGNON, a 22 years old boy, and leaving him to death on the grown for about 30 minutes before sending him to an hospital where he passed away 4 minutes after. MARVIN POGNON was a man, a Real Man with the heart of baby and soul of an angel, a Real Man who personified Love and Respect. He is gone with so much love_ like there is no more love_ no more respect for Human Being_ like the world is now full of hate_ hate against beauty_ against respect_ against wisdom_ against success_ and so on…
So, we came to the conclusion that the story of MARVIN is not only the affaire of the POGNON’s Family neither the Haitian or African American Community but the concern of everyone (black, white, yellow, brown, etc) who believes in love and respect. Therefore, we are and will be grateful to everyone who stand up with us and will continue to do so, until the TRUE is revealed and JUSTICE prevailed, for ensuring the success of LOVE & RESPECT
