We’re unveiling the dark wood finish of the Iris Meditation Pod by OpenSeed - a deeper, more intimate take on our design language.

As a contrast to our natural wood finish, this edition pairs painted carbon tones with soft gradient grays, creating an interior that feels more elegant, more grounded, and incredibly cozy.

The freestanding Iris, tailored for individual use, blends elegantly with any office design and its existing furniture to offer moments of stillness. It combines technology and design to provide powerful experiences that can alleviate anxiety and elevate your energy in less than 12 minutes.

The design concept, developed by and centers on three key pillars:

1. User Experience

Blending sound design, guided meditation, lighting, and aromatherapy, the Iris offers a simple and grounded experience within a private, inspiring, and comforting atmosphere designed for relaxation and decompression.

2. Lean and Modular Design

A simplified structure with impactful design details, reduction of material waste, minimal complexity of assembly, and mindfulness of production and delivery are key to bringing Iris to market.

The fabric and wood components for the exterior frame snap together through a tensioning mechanism without additional hardware and thus can be shipped flat to their final destination. Felt serves as an acoustical buffer, and the user can further block external noises by using the noise-canceling headphones for their experience.

3. Customization

Natural wood and wool enable the pod to be sustainably built and recyclable at the end of its life. The felt wall can be customized in different colors to company style and preferences. It also provides acoustic isolation, structural strength, and a comforting, familiar texture.

The seed-shaped meditation pods incorporate sustainably harvested wood or wood created from manufacturing waste and recycled wool or felt to evoke a sense of calm and a connection to nature.

The Iris will be available for delivery Summer 2025.

We are thrilled to announce that OpenSeed has partnered with , a cutting-edge cancer treatment center in Scottsdale, AZ. Vincere has invested in an Iris pod, set for delivery in 2025, to enhance their holistic patient care approach. We are also embarking on a study to further explore the role of meditation in cancer treatment.
