Our Story
The team at HealthTap has spent the better part of the last decade innovating ways to solve discrete challenges within the healthcare system. We began by assembling a network of more than 140,000 licensed U.S. physicians representing 147 specialties in order to ensure that everyday people could get trustworthy answers to the medical questions they asked online. To date we’ve served more than 6.9 billion answers to hundreds of millions of individuals from 174 different countries—and all for free to our users.
Our engineers, data scientists and medical team then used that uniquely rich knowledge base as the foundation for Dr. A.I., a system that uses machine learning and artificial intelligence methods to turn our doctors’ experience into reproducible wisdom for virtual triage and beyond.
HealthTap is the most comprehensive product of its kind on the market, combining otherwise disjointed elements of healthcare into a single seamless experience for consumers, administrators, and practitioners. We’ve unified our point solutions into a systemic one, and we’re using it to close the feedback loop and make caregivers more collaborative with each other and more responsive to patients’ needs.
