Over the years, I've left insurance networks, but I'm currently in-network with Aetna. I am most likely going to leave Aetna network starting next year, because they have been cutting fees with numerous excuses that it just isn't worth my time and energy to stay in-network (I got paid $22 on one claim... and unfortunately, this doesn't even cover my dinner that I need to stay late in my office to work on that said claim).

Your plan coverage will change if you do want to still use Aetna starting January 1, 2026, as I will be out-of-network. With all my out-of-network insurance, you would have to pay in full in advance (a little more expensive than my cash rate) and I can send you via e-mail a superbill that you would submit to your insurance company. You would have to follow up on the claim.

The other option would be pay the cash rate at a discount with an option to purchase visit packages. You can also use your FSA and HSA for these visits. If your election to choose your insurance for next year is coming up, I would recommend adjusting your FSA and HSA amount to cover what you might need. Feel free to email me for more information.

IMPORTANT: In case you haven't been to my office or have seen my schedule in awhile, I am gone 75% of Sept for training. If you are a nutritional patient, please, book according to your re-scan schedule (every 4 weeks) in order to not fall behind - or at least close to it so that you're set before I leave. I will be off-grid so I'd like to set you up with FullScript as needed. Remember that your protocol expires 4 weeks from the scan so it can become ineffective after that time. If you're 3 weeks in, I'd rather see you at that time to test as if I'm testing you in the future (which is possible for me).

As for my structural and NET patients, book what you can!

I am pretty much off-grid while I am traveling and training so if you need something, please, contact me ASAP as I wrap up my office before my departure. Again, I don't look at texts while I am out of town to focus. Remember that you can schedule/reschedule online.

I made it to my first NeuroCon which is seminar I’ve been wanting to attend if given the chance. For this year’s live continuing education for my license, I am hoping these two days will add to the neurology I do in my office. But…. I am so tired. My delayed flight got me to my hotel close to 2 AM. So I took a nap 😴 which was verified by my Oura ring. My patients know how important sleep is, and my 20 mins of REM means I will be 🧟‍♀️ today.

Hello, wonderful patients!

I know summer is half way, but it's going by really fast. I just wanted to give a little heads-up to my active patients that I will be gone for few weeks in Sept. So, plan, accordingly, please! I know when I'm out of town, it seems like disasters strike and then I come back to pick up the pieces. I typically dot my i's and cross my t's before I leave so let's plan on avoiding any and all madness (e.g. "Dr. Kaela is out of town" syndrome). LOL. Please, book ahead and I've opened up Mondays to accommodate for lack of appointments in Sept. If you're my nutrition patient, I would feel much better if you can book your last scan (before my trip) towards beginning of Sept so that you're still on the same protocol when I return. If it can't be done, you can book end of August as well.

Summer came for me really fast!

Some of my active patients are aware, but I will going on a family vacation on Thursday and will be off-grid (no e-mail/text/VM) until I return to the office on 6/24. If you need anything from me, please, e-mail me by 6/3 (Tues) 5 PM. I will take care of everything before I leave the office Tuesday night (and hopefully I will leave before midnight... but probably not).

If you need a FullScript prescription for your supplement protocol (and didn't get them because you picked up most of your supplements in the office), I can set it up for you in case you run out of something. Please, e-mail me about this before Tues evening.

As usual, ECO conference leaves me refreshed with way too much knowledge. Great thing for you is that there are some seminar specials that I can pass off to you as if you've been there with me. I know I've been harping on water quality for some of my patients that I've tested in the office. If you want every chemical, drug, radiation, heavy metals, and other junk in your water, distilled water is the way to go. SmartWater tests for every one of my patients, but I know it's not the cheapest (and the plastic bottle is not good for the body). I only have SmartWater now when I'm on the go or forgot to bring my stainless steel water bottle. Some of my patients might be familiar with the IMAET biofeedback program that can be run remotely. It’s a very convenient way to start the healing process and change the physiology at the cellular level. I’m attending a virtual conference today - ECO by . I couldn’t go in-person this year, but I have a new coworker today while I watch the conference. I am learning fire hose-style a usual. This year definitely is different with this format change, but I don’t mind spending some time with this furry guy.
