7-day Fast Big Reveal! Results of DEXA Scan and Lab Tests

I got the shocking result of my DEXA scan and Lab Tests. Some of my assumptions are proven correct. I successfully lost fat without losing any muscles. But some results are totally surprising! My original assumption was I had been stress eating. Now I realize it was not the eating part causing me problems but the Stress! I changed the direction of self-healing and will embark on a new challenge for the next 10 weeks.

7-day Fast, Post Fast DEXA Scan and Strength test

After my 7-day fast, I went to get a DEXA scan to find out precisely how much fats and muscle I have lost. To ensure the accuracy of the DEXA scan, I also did some strength test at the gym so I have another metric as reference.

7-day Fast, Day 4~7. Rapid weight loss but energized.

After entering fasting state on Day 3, I have been feeling very good from Day 4~7. I have a lot of energy and can do physical works with ease. On 7th day, I do feel a little bit dehydrated and a bit tired. Luckily I am ending my fast soon. I will be getting lab test and exams to compare my body before and after fast.

My Conclusion:
1. Start with healthy lifestyle first
2. Start with brief fast
3. Work with professionals
4. Fast in relaxed setting
5. Stay moderately active

I started the Day 1 of my 7-Day Fast with a bang. I woke up at 3:30 am to do 5 hours of Buddhist ceremonies in the morning. I ate a 200kcal lunch. And I did 4 more hours of Buddhist ceremonies in the afternoon. However, by the evening, I suffered horrible withdrawal symptoms, headaches, fatigues, nausea. I had to give my self acupuncture and herbal treatment to continue.

Just returned from an unforgettable trip to Japan, my first time back in 28 years! I did studied Japanese in high school and took Japanese classes in college. But sorry to say I forgot most of my Japanese. Luckily Japan is very tourist friendly nowadays. Well-preserved beautiful gardens and temples, balanced blend of industrial society and respect for nature, Japan demonstrates that high technology and cultural traditions can thrive together.
