Sister Serafia and Sister Michael, Daughters of St. Francis, serve in Mercy’s Springfield communities and recently gathered for Mass and lunch with Bishop Rice. Afterward, they took their very first visit to Bass Pro Shops and the smiles say it all.

Our Mercy family just grew by one future nurse! Leighton, who spent her first weeks of life in the NICU at Mercy St. Louis, is now starting kindergarten with big dreams of one day wearing the Mercy badge herself. We hope all students enjoy a joyful and safe school year! 🍎

Recess could wait when Sister Angelique had a story to tell. In April 1998, she read to kiddos at the Mercy Co-Worker’s Children Center in St. Louis. She served at Mercy Hospitals in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas and spent many years at in radiologic technology. Many co-workers still remember the joy and energy she brought to both the classroom and the hospital halls.
