You don’t need to blow up your whole routine to feel better.

Seriously. You don’t need a complete reset, a perfect plan, or a “start over Monday” moment.

Sometimes it’s just…
Showing up a little differently.

Taking a 10-minute walk instead of doing nothing
Adding one nourishing meal instead of changing everything
Going to bed a little earlier
Actually slowing down and breathing for a minute

That’s how change really happens.

Not all at once.
Just in the small ways you start choosing yourself a little more often. 💛

So instead of asking “what do I need to change?”
Try asking “how can I show up for myself differently today?”

I was just thinking about something Lindsay said and it honestly made my whole day 💛

She’s been coming for almost two years now and said it feels like a second home to her… how sweet is that?

She also shared that she always feels really welcomed here, and that there’s a sense of being taken care of no matter where she’s at in her practice.

And I really loved this part—she noticed how I offer different options and alternatives so everyone can move in a way that actually feels good in their body. No pressure to do it “one right way,” just space to listen and adjust.

That’s really what I want this space to be. A place where you can show up as you are, feel supported, and leave feeling a little more at home in yourself too 🥹💛

Love this! 💜

Love this! 💜

What you do in private always shows in public, and this is such good news.

Your diet shows in your energy. Your diet shows in your skin. Your diet shows in your confidence. Your diet shows in your results.

The whole foods you eat when no one’s watching…the vegetables, the healthy fats, the clean proteins, they don’t just disappear. They become the clarity you feel at 2pm instead of brain fog. They become the natural glow people notice. They become steady energy that lasts all day, not the crash-and-burn cycle of processed foods and sugar.

You can’t fake real nourishment. Your body tells the truth. Feed it real food, and it shows. Skip the nutrients it needs, and that shows too.

You are what you cultivate when no one is watching. And every single meal is either building you up or breaking you down. Choose foods that serve you.

Hey friend 💛

I just wanted to share something I think you’d really love. I put together a free Wellness Guide, and it’s basically everything I wish more of us were reminded of when life feels busy or overwhelming.

Because honestly… wellness isn’t about being perfect or doing everything “right.” It’s about the small stuff we come back to—how we eat, how we move, how we rest, how we handle stress, and even the way we talk to ourselves. Those little things add up in a big way.

Inside the guide, I walk through 11 simple pieces that really support your health and wellbeing—things like hydration, real food, mindful eating, sleep, movement, stress, self-love, creativity, time in nature… all the things that help you feel more like you again.

And it’s not meant to feel like another thing on your to-do list. It’s more like a gentle reset. Something you can come back to whenever you need a little grounding or inspiration.

If you want it, it’s super easy: just head to my website 👉 www.rootedinwellnessduluth.com
and click the link in the upper right corner. I’ll send the guide straight to you for free.

Take your time with it, use what feels good, and leave the rest. 💛

Progress in your health isn’t usually loud or obvious.

It’s happening in the quiet moments…
The walk you almost skipped but didn’t
The stretch you did before bed
The choice to drink water instead of another coffee
The class you showed up to even when you didn’t feel like it

No one’s clapping for those moments.
But they’re the ones that actually change everything.

It’s easy to think nothing’s happening because it doesn’t feel big or dramatic…
but this is the work.

And it adds up in ways you will feel over time. 💛

What’s one small thing you did for your health this week that no one else saw?

I was just thinking about this the other day and had to share it with you. 💛

One of my clients, Emily, described class as a safe haven from the daily grind… and honestly, that’s exactly what I hope it feels like.

Like you can walk in carrying whatever the day has been… stress, tension, busy brain… all of it.

And then just exhale.

No pressure, no expectations.
Just a warm, welcoming space where you can actually tune in to what your body needs.

She said she leaves feeling like she just had a full-body massage.🥹

And I love that so much because it’s not about pushing harder or doing more… it’s about softening, unwinding, and giving your body a chance to reset.

Anyway, just a little reminder that you deserve that kind of space too. ✨

Okay, I am SO excited about these upcoming Signature Series classes—honestly, it feels like spring is just begging us to get moving again and start building momentum toward our goals.

If you’ve been thinking about getting back into a routine, or just want something steady and supportive to anchor your week, this is such a good time to jump in. And not gonna lie… I kind of want to go to all of them. How do you even choose?!

Here’s what’s coming up:

🌿 Intro to Ayurveda
Tuesdays at 6:00pm | 4-week series begins April 28th

✨ Yoga for Healthy Aging
Tuesdays at 11:15am | 4-week series begins April 28th
Thursdays at 11:15am | 4-week series begins April 30th

💛 Yoga for Core & Pelvic Floor
Sundays at 10:00am | 4-week series begins April 26th
Tuesdays at 4:45pm | 4-week series begins April 28th

🌱 Yoga 101 – A Beginner’s Journey
Thursdays at 4:45pm | 4-week series begins April 30th

If I had to pick (which feels impossible), I’d be like… “Okay, I need a little grounding → Ayurveda. I want to feel stronger → Core & Pelvic Floor. I want to slow down and feel good in my body → Healthy Aging. Or maybe I’m just starting fresh → Yoga 101.”

See what I mean? No wrong answers here.

And just a heads up—you can get 20% off with the early bird discount through April 21st.

Spring is really that season where things start to shift… more energy, more light, more motivation. It’s honestly the perfect time to create consistency and start moving toward what you want to feel in your body and your life.

So… which one are you coming to? 😊

Just be sure you sign yourself up before classes begin, so I know who's coming.

The next frontier in medicine isn’t another drug.

It’s a radical shift in how we view the body, the brain, and disease itself.

Depression is often rooted in systemic inflammation, gut dysbiosis, mitochondrial dysfunction, insulin resistance, trauma, or disrupted circadian rhythms. ADHD may be tied to neuroinflammation, poor blood sugar control, or nutritional gaps like low magnesium, zinc, or omega-3s. And heart disease? It’s largely a food-borne illness, driven by a diet of ultra-processed, inflammatory, nutrient-poor calories.

There is no single root cause. But there are root causes.
And they are almost always connected by lifestyle, environment, and systems-level dysfunction.

Medications have their place… But they were never designed to reverse chronic disease. They manage symptoms, often while the underlying dysfunction worsens.

If we want to reverse the chronic disease epidemic, mental and physical, we need to stop asking what drug treats this and start asking why the body lost balance in the first place.

The answer isn’t in the pharmacy… It’s in how we eat, move, sleep, connect, and live.
It’s in our soil, our food system, our communities, our kitchens.

The next revolution in medicine will come not from the lab but from returning to the root.

Taking care of your body isn’t some luxury thing we get to “someday.”

It’s actually how we get to live the life we want.

Like… having the energy to go for a walk after dinner.
Feeling strong enough to carry your groceries without thinking about it.
Waking up without feeling stiff and exhausted before the day even starts.

That kind of life doesn’t just happen. It’s built in the little ways we take care of ourselves every day.

Not perfectly. Not all at once. Just… intentionally.

So, if you’ve been putting yourself last lately, this is your little nudge 💛

What’s one small way you can take care of your body today?

I have to tell you this because it made me smile 🥹

One of my clients shared with me the other day that the way I explain movements actually helps them feel what’s going on in their body… not just go through the motions.

And now the forms we’ve been practicing together have become something they just do naturally in their day.

It’s not even something they have to think about anymore.

And the best part? They said they feel more confident, more balanced, and just steadier on their feet overall.

That’s everything to me!

Because that’s the goal, right?

Not just doing a class… but actually changing how you move and feel in your everyday life.

I want the same for you too.

💛

Where have I been? A good question! Well, currently I am back home in Duluth, but I was away for 2 weeks in my favorite little town in Mexico. I got home last week after being delayed a few days due to the snowstorm in the Twin Cities, then hit the yoga mat with new classes starting.

I hope you'll stick with me through the whole photo drop of my trip because it was truly an amazing time! I went on vacation by myself this year with the intention of recharging my body, heart and mind.

On vacation, I did lots of art and reading by the pool, got a few massages, ate great food, attended the local market, went to a fundraiser for local organizations, attended a friend's singing group and got to see him play guitar at a local restaurant, took in all the beauty of everything being alive and growing, and visited lots of friends who I typically only see once a year.

This is the same spot I usually have my women's retreat, which didn't happen this year due to some family health issues which are thankfully resolved now.

I am so grateful for all the wonderful people in this community that make it feel like home away from home. It is truly a place where I feel like I can slow down, tune in and just be.

Also grateful for having the opportunity to take care of myself in this way. I would highly encourage a solo getaway, retreat or some kind of rejuvenating vacation to recharge and restore - something just for you.

Have a great weekend and I hope to see you soon! 💞
