Lead may have been used as as filler to bulk up the spices to appear to be better quality or weigh more. The spices are from Equador and other countries.
It is recommended to check your child for lead if they have eaten these products

The Food and Drug Administration says that the lead found in cinnamon applesauce pouches from WanaBana, Schnucks, and Weis may be the result of intentional contamination.
