Motherhood can bring so much love- and also so much pressure.

I was honored to speak at recently about mom rage: what it really is, why it happens, and why it does not mean you’re a bad mom.

Often rage is the surface emotion. Underneath it can be overstimulation, unmet needs, mental load, lack of support, anxiety, sleep deprivation, grief, or feeling like you have to hold everything together alone.

If this is part of your story, you are not the only one- and you don’t have to stay stuck there.

I had the opportunity to spend time with them today, talking about maternal mental health – what it can look like, and how it often goes unseen.

So many moms are carrying more than anyone realizes.

And when providers create space for that, it makes it so much easier to speak up.

Today at the West Valley Birth Expo, I had the chance to connect with so many incredible providers who are serving families in our community — doulas, chiropractors, birth workers, and more. It’s always encouraging to see how many people care deeply about supporting moms and babies.

One of the most meaningful parts of my work is getting to walk alongside moms during seasons that can feel overwhelming, isolating, and identity-shifting.

And one of the best outcomes of therapy is when a client reaches the point where she doesn’t need to come as often.

Today I had the privilege of speaking with about recognizing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders in prenatal and postpartum care.

OB providers are often the first to notice when something isn’t right — and early identification changes outcomes.

We talked about:

✨ When screening scores warrant referral
✨ What to say to patients that reduces shame

I realized it’s been a while since I properly reintroduced myself—so much has changed! Babies have been born, kids have grown, and life keeps moving (fast).

Some days motherhood feels like a marathon you didn’t sign up for. Some days it’s magical. Most days? Both at the same time.

I’m living it too—right alongside you. Between homeschooling five kids, managing the chaos, and keeping my coffee hot (sometimes successfully), I know how heavy life can feel.

Burnout in motherhood is often invisible.

It doesn’t always look like falling apart.
Sometimes it looks like snapping more easily.
Feeling constantly overstimulated.
Being exhausted but unable to rest.
Going quiet inside.

So many moms assume this is just “the season.”
But chronic depletion isn’t something you’re supposed to white-knuckle through.

When your nervous system has been on high alert for too long, irritability, numbness, resentment, and anxiety make sense. They’re not character flaws — they’re signals.

You are not weak.
You are not ungrateful.
You might just be carrying too much for too long.

Turning 37 today and I’m more aware than ever that growth isn’t about becoming harder—it’s about becoming clearer.

Some of what this year reinforced for me:
• Healing isn’t linear
• Not everyone who has access to you values you—and that clarity helps you move toward those who do
• Boundaries aren’t walls; they’re information
• Safety and reciprocity matter
• Becoming is allowed to be slow

For my clients (and anyone who needs the reminder):
You don’t have to earn your place in relationships that are meant to hold you.
It’s okay to invest where care is mutual.

Grateful for another year of learning, listening, and choosing alignment. 💛
