Karen is the Fitness Instructor at Grandview Terrace, and her passion for helping others shines through in everything she does. From leading energizing fitness classes to organizing monthly line dance outings, Karen creates opportunities for residents to stay active, connected, and smiling — all while building meaningful relationships with both residents and staff.

As Karen shares about her experience: “Every day I smile because I am so grateful for the love, support and respect that I feel and get from our Sun Health Team and the residents. I love them!!!! Working here is good for my soul. Bringing my knowledge and expertise to others and helping others become healthier brings me so much joy.

Many days the residents show up early to line dance or cardio drumming, so we just start early! I cannot resist their smiles, eagerness to exercise and excitement!!! Their smiles looking at me while they are exercising… warms my heart. Seeing the residents get stronger and healthier while having fun is so rewarding and makes every day worth it!!!

I feel respected and loved by the residents and the staff and you can’t ask for anything more! I am the lucky one!”
