This year its Sunday the 27th The day was established to acknowledge the important role that parents play in their children’s development and to emphasize the significance of the family unit. When it gets super hot in Arizona, singing and dancing inside is a fun (and cool) way to keep the kids busy. Moving to music helps with their motor skills, coordination, talking, and feelings — plus, they’ll have a blast! Crank up the music and let their creativity run wild. Dancing to tunes helps with planning movements, sensing their bodies, and being aware of themselves. Give kids scarves, rhythm sticks, or just let them dance how they want to keep them active and their brains sharp!

Development is a non-linear process. Some autistic children may experience delayed speech, challenges with social skills, or alternative learning styles; however, this does not preclude their potential for success.

Strengths may manifest later on. Many children demonstrate talents or abilities—such as strong memory, musical aptitude, artistic skills, or problem-solving—when provided with appropriate support and opportunities for growth.

Progress often occurs in phases. Initial development may be gradual, followed by sudden milestones or advancements in areas such as language, play, or social relationships.
